While the replacement of low-ranked quizzes is a continuing goal, preparation of extra quizzes to introduce variety for the tourists is also important now that the Bus Ride is well-established. Some tourists have been around the world over ten times, and even nice quizzes get repetitive. The lowest-ranked quiz currently used for the tour has a ranking that is roughly in the top third of all quizzes, so replacement is not an urgent matter, but we would still like to have new quizzes of a suitable quality to use as replacements, to provide a bit of diversity for those players who have played every day since the beginning, and who have probably memorised the answers to the current quizzes.
If you create a new quiz on a Bus Ride country, get it placed online, and have it place within a reasonable ranking, it may be rotated in to provide a more diverse program. Should your quiz manage a higher ranking than the current entry, it could become the permanent fixture, waiting for a future challenger. As an added bonus, we have modified the ratings system to give all quizzes in our rotation a ratings bump.
Feel free to use this thread to also "claim" a country so that you don't duplicate someone else's effort, and make sure to follow along with our later posts and updates to make sure that everything is in order. We look forward to seeing what you can come up with!

You absolutely can create quizzes for the Bus Ride. The link works for me, but then again, I an editor, so others may not be able to see it. I note every potential quiz as it come online, and check it periodically until I see it is ranked. Any quiz that ranks higher than the current quiz I place on the list to rotate in; any that are higher than the current replacement quiz get added to that column on my spreadsheet, and may be rotated in at a later stage. In a minute, I will open the link you cannot read, and post here the names of the countries that you would see at the top of that list as being most likely to be successfully replaced, as they have the lowest rankings. Latest update after some rotation today: The following countries are the only ones on the circuit whose quizzes do not currently sport a pair of sunnies: Guinea-Bissau - 34234 Oman - 31513 Slovenia - 29691 Malta - 28493 Liechtenstein - 27543 Clearly these may well be the easiest to knock off. There are also some countries with quite old quizzes, which may benefit from some rotation even if the newer quiz isn't quite as highly ranked, since long-term tourists have seen them a lot of times. These include: Haiti - online Jul 13 02, current rank 2384 The Dominican Republic - online Nov 28 03, current rank 6098 Ethiopia - online Feb 9 04, current rank 1787 Namibia - online Apr 13 04, current rank 3071 Portugal - online Jan 16 07, current rank 883 There are another bunch that went online in 2009 or 2010, which Terry's coding has flagged as old, too. Including them here would make the list too long to be useful - and most of them were actually written as part of the original Bus Ride challenge or the Replacement challenge, anyway - that's how long this bus has been roaming!
