Subject: What Song am I?

Posted by: Mariamir
Date: Nov 29 12

Following the same rules as the other "What ____ am I" threads, the point of this thread is that you ask yes or no questions until someone guesses the correct song. That same person then chooses the next song.

Yes, he is English, but not Eric Clapton. But like Eric Clapton, he is not only singer and songwriter, but also plays...

"Miss You" by the Rolling Stones?

Not a song by the Stones. The singer was at the time member of a band and the first recording of the song was made by that band. Later he started a very successful solo career. He also has done a bit of acting.

No, not those two. The band was new wave - and slightly punky. The singer, who almost won a prestigious Jazz award with one of his later pieces, and who still is a solo act is a very versatile musician.

No, not him, although the singer is just a couple of years older. The song title is an extraterrestrial activity.

Yes, the singer is still alive. And "Life on Mars" is too early. The song was first released in 1979.

Yes, CC, Walking on the Moon. Sting himself said that he wrote it when he was drunk - and also that walking home from his first girl friends home he felt like walking on the moon.

Thanks M.

This is a song from a great album that I don't believe was released as a single (not where I live anyway) - American artist...
