Subject: What Song am I?

Posted by: Mariamir
Date: Nov 29 12

Following the same rules as the other "What ____ am I" threads, the point of this thread is that you ask yes or no questions until someone guesses the correct song. That same person then chooses the next song.

Fire away!

Actually, I do have a problem with that question and answering that question, for a multitude of reasons. But most importantly, because putting him in the "white" category might mislead you...

Oh, how stupid of me... As I am not a Michael Jackson fan, I didn't get it that Black or White was referring to a song. Huge apologies to spiggy, I completely misunderstood.

Some 20 years younger than Tony Bennett. The song is quite upbeat.

Would this artist be Billy Joel and the song "Uptown Girl"?

Thanks Malama.....this next one was written in the last half of the 20th century by a very famous songwriter for a musical....it has been covered by a few famous artists. I love its haunting tune...

The tune was "Send in the Clowns" and now over to anyone who is interested because frankly I have lost interest.

Lol Meg! It looks like most of these threads have fizzled out!

I think it was because there were too many obscure subjects being tendered which takes the fun out of it. Too hard is boring, what we need is subjects that are fairly easy to guess and a turn over of winners, not the same old people monopolising it all the time.

Almost a year to the day since last posting on this thread.

Okay, let's try this....longest song in the Beatles catalogue, not counting the medley on side two of Abbey Road and Hey Jude.

Haha, first thought that came to mind was Hey Jude. What about Revolution?

Hey yeah, I forgot about Revolution 9, that weird but wonderful collage of sound John did with Yoko on the White Album.

Is that longer than what I had in mind, another song from Abbey Road. I think you win anyway SkyFlyerJen for bringing it up. You did mean that Revolution didn't you? And not the two others which are shorter than what my original selection is.

That is the version I was thinking of for "Revolution". If it's from Abbey Road, is it "I Want You (She's So Heavy)"? I want to earn the right to go next! :)
