Answer: Kenai was transformed into a bear.

Seconds after Kenai killed the bear he blamed for Sitka's death, he was transformed into a bear. Denahi tried to kill him, but Kenai fell into the water and floated downstream. Tanana, the shaman, found Kenai in his bear form and tried to help him by telling him that he could find Sitka where the lightning meets the mountains. Sitka would then change Kenai back into his human form only if Sitka believed Kenai had learned a lesson.

Kenai asks the moose Rutt and Tuke if they know where the lights touch the mountain, which they don't. Neither of the moose believe him when he tells them he's not a bear or a beaver, and that he is a man, and they make fun of him by telling him that they are not moose, either. Instead, Tuke says that they understand completely what he's saying. He then tells Kenai that they were squirrels, and Rutt, realizing what his brother was doing, says that his brother was the squirrel, but he was more of a wolverine.

Rutt and Tuke were brothers. They fought sometimes and were really hilarious. When they first met Kenai, they tried to run away but got their horns tangled together and were stuck. Kenai tried to tell them that he wasn't a bear, but a man, but they just laughed at him.

Kenai met Rutt and Tuke (Canadian moose brothers) right after he became a bear. For a while, Rut and Tuke traveled with Kenai until they couldn't get off the mammoth they were traveling on and disappeared from the movie. The brothers mysteriously showed up later after getting off the mammoth and ran into Koda. Koda was angry with Kenai and told them he wanted to be alone. The next time Rutt and Tuke were shown was in the credits.

Koda was a bear cub who knew where the mountain was that Kenai was looking for. He was headed to the salmon run where he thought his mother would be. Koda and Kenai had several adventures before getting to the salmon run. Kenai could see the mountain where the light touches the earth from the river where the salmon run was.

Along the way to the salmon run, they come to a place where they see drawings on the walls. On one of the drawings that Kenai notices, a human is attacking a bear with a spear.

Koda was a young bear cub Kenai met, who was separated from his mother. He wanted to go to the Salmon Run because he thought he would meet his mother there. When Koda started to sing, "On My Way", Kenai wanted him to stop because it was annoying him. Koda didn't listen to him and continued to sing because he just wanted to sing.
