Answer: Rock

Earlier in the movie, Flik and Dot have a conversation in which Flik gives Dot a rock but tells her to pretend it is a seed, telling Dot that all trees start off as seeds and that Dot will eventually blossom into an adult ant just like seeds blossom into trees. Despite having trouble understanding that she is supposed to pretend that the rock is a seed, Dot likes Flik for this. Later in the movie, after Flik is expelled from Ant Island and Dot overhears that the grasshoppers will eat all the food on the island and kill the queen, Dot flies across the canyon and tells Flik to come back, telling him what she overheard. At first, Flik refuses to come back, telling Dot that he deserved to be expelled because he only makes things worse and telling Dot to go home so she doesn't make the same mistakes he made. The circus bugs and Dot try as hard as they can to cheer him up. What works is when Dot gets a rock and tells him to pretend it is a seed. This is what convinces Flik to come home. The circus bugs, despite being confused about the rock, help Flik return home and decide to help the ants, this time using their circus talents rather than pretending to be warrior bugs.

Answer: Bird

The circus bugs thought Flik hired them to perform for a banquet for the grasshoppers. However, when the child ants do presentations for the "Warrior bugs" such as a mural and a play of them killing the grasshoppers, they tell Flik that they are circus bugs not warrior bugs. The circus bugs and Flik then call for an emergency private meeting where they angrily accuse each other of lying and false advertising. The circus bugs then leave. Flik desperately tries to convince them to stay. What ultimately works is him pointing out that there's a bird nearby. Dot follows Flik to try to get him to return, but that puts her in danger of being eaten by the bird. Flik and the circus bugs then rescue Dot and the other ants, thinking that the "Warrior bugs" were demonstrating their abilities, applaud the circus bugs and ask for their autographs, giving them the kind of attention they always wanted but never got as circus bugs and convincing them to pretend to be circus bugs.

Flik invents a machine that can cut down entire stalks of food to speed up the gathering of the food for the grasshoppers. He also invents a telescope that the queen or princess can use to watch over the kingdom. Most of the ants do not like Flik's inventions.

The ants on Ant Island were dropping off food for the grasshoppers when a leaf blew in the path of an ant. The ant started panicking and the queen (voiced by Phyllis Diller) had to calm him down and show him that he could walk around the leaf. The hesitation in the ant caused a small gap in the line and made the princess-in-waiting panic. The queen had to calm her daughter (voiced by Julia Louis-Dreyfus) down as well.

At the beginning of the movie, Flik was an unpopular ant in his colony because his many inventions often didn't go as planned, causing havoc for his fellow ants. After accidentally knocking the pile of food for the grasshoppers into the stream, he left Ant Island in search of tough bugs to fight the grasshoppers. He mistook a group of circus bugs as warriors and brought them back to the colony. He was the one that came up with the idea of building a bird to scare away the grasshoppers.

Answer: Hopper

Hopper and Flik worry a lot. Flik first sees Hopper in the chamber. Hopper gets into the chamber by breaking through the ceiling. He says no before he dies at the end.

Answer: Geri's Game

"Geri's Game" was about an old man playing chess with himself and doing anything he could to win... against himself. "Boundin'" was in the beginning of "The Incredibles", "Tin Toy" was with "Finding Nemo", and "For the Birds" was with "Monsters, Inc."

When Flik decides to return to Ant Island, the other circus bugs need to get P.T. Flea to do the same. Knowing that he wouldn't do so willingly, Francis distracts P.T. Flea by pointing and shouting, "Money!" When he's distracted, Rosie wraps him in a web. The other circus bugs turn the truck around and go to Ant Island. P.T. Flea then promises that if they let him go, he will start THINKING about paying them. They lock him up inside the truck and web.

Answer: A fake bird

Once Flik, Dot, and the circus bugs escaped from the real bird, the other ants applaud them. Atta personally congratulates Flik on his bravery saying that "Even Hopper is afraid of birds." This gives Flik an idea to build a fake bird that they can operate like an airplane that will scare off the grasshoppers. The "Warrior bugs" take credit for the idea so that no one will know that Flik accidentally brought circus bugs to the island. The ants and the circus bugs build the fake bird and hide it in the trees, to be deployed when the grasshopper arrive.

Atta is the heavily stressed out princess of the colony, trying to learn to become the new queen. The current queen tells her to relax, saying that the grasshoppers will just come, eat, and leave, and that it's no big deal.

At the end of the movie, there is a blooper reel of outtakes, including an outtake in which one of the actresses accidentally calls her "Abba" then bursts out laughing.

Hopper was the head of the grasshoppers and a bully. His brother Molt wasn't a very smart grasshopper, but considered himself to be the "vice president" of the grasshoppers.

Atta was the older princess and was nervous about how the colony saw her. In the end, though, she became a good leader. She and Flik also became romantically involved, despite her not liking him at the start.

Flik does not have to follow the queue of ants at the beginning. He goes to the chamber when someone blows the horn. When someone blows the horn it indicates that grasshoppers are coming.

Molt was Hopper's dim-witted grasshopper brother. He decided to join the circus in the end of the film instead of staying with the grasshopper troop.

When the circus bugs start to perform a show for the grasshoppers, Hopper asks them, "What's going on?" Not satisfied with Slim's answer, Hopper orders his gang to kill them. The circus bugs are terrified. Dim slowly steps back and accidentally launches the cannon, launching Tuck and Roll right in front of the grasshoppers. Tuck and Roll start speaking in some kind of bug language while dancing around, then they get into a fight. The grasshoppers are entertained by the fight, thinking it is part of the act. They then decide not to kill the circus bugs and watch the show.

After learning that the "Flaming Death" act was very popular despite not going the way it was supposed to go, P.T. Flea comes to ant island looking for the circus bugs. By doing this, he reveals to all the ants that the "Warrior bugs" are really circus bugs. To make matters worse, the circus bugs tell the ants that the idea to construct a fake bird was Flik's idea and not theirs. As a result, Flik gets expelled from the island and has to join the circus.

Flik is an intelligent ant who invents things. Dot is a young female ant and she can't fly at the beginning of the movie. They both get scolded by other ants throughout the movie. They befriend each other because Dot is the only one who likes Flik and his inventions and ideas and Flik convinces her to be okay with not being able to fly because she's still just a kid.

Answer: The food the ants gathered wasn't in its original place.

The ants had gathered the food for Hopper and the other grasshoppers, but Flik accidentally knocked the food into the water with his harvester invention. Before he had a chance to tell the queen what he did, Hopper and the grasshoppers forced their way into the ant's den. They ordered the ants to get double the food together before the last leaf fell.

Dot was the younger princess in the ant colony. Unlike the other ants, she believed in Flik from the beginning and helped him when he had lost hope. She was unable to fly at the beginning, but when she fell off a cliff near the end, she was finally able to fly.

When Flik gets near the canyon, he climbs up a plant with dandelions and grabs a dandelion which he uses in order to get across the canyon. The bird does not see Flik while he is crossing the canyon using a dandelion.

Dr. Flora was the colony's nurse who kept an eye on the ant colony. Aphy was the Queen's pet aphid who was always running around. Thumper was Hopper's pet grasshopper that almost ate Dot in the ant hill.

This is one of the many references to Disney movies, others include a banner in the city featuring "The Lion King", the ant saying Jiminy H. Cricket, and Woody appearing in the outtakes.

Answer: Rescue the queen

Manny asks for a "volunteer" from the audience. Molt tries to volunteer, not knowing that the point of the show was to rescue the queen. The queen, despite not volunteering, is the one that Manny picks. The queen rides Dim up to a Chinese food container, hiding under his wings. Secretly, she does not get in the container but instead stays hidden under Dim's wings. After Manny says "transformation" several times, Gyspy flies out of the container. The audience cheers, but then Hopper, not fooled, demands to know where the queen is. This is when the ants deploy the fake bird.
