Answer: Anne Hathaway
Hathaway, born on November 12th, 1982 in Brooklyn, New York landed the role of Andy Sachs. Andy was a recent graduate of Northwestern University and went to "Runway" magazine where she had a job interview for a personal assistant position to Miranda Priestly. Andy first spoke to Emily at the office and Emily told her she would be interviewing for the second assistant position. When Andy spoke with Miranda, she noted that Andy did not have a good sense of fashion and how it was likely that Andy had not heard of her until that day. Despite this, Miranda hired Andy and Andy was overwhelmed by how demanding Miranda was. Andy was often seen scrambling through the streets of New York City running errands for Miranda. One such errand she was seen doing was getting Miranda's coffee at Starbucks. At the end of the movie, Andy got a phone call from Miranda on her cell phone but she did not answer it and instead threw her cell phone into a nearby fountain. She quit her job shortly after this and applied for another job at New York City. At an interview for that position, the interviewer told her that Miranda told him Andy was her biggest disappointment but that he would be a fool not to hire her. In Andy's final scene, she was seen walking down a street in New York City and she saw Miranda and waved to her just as Miranda was getting into a car. Hathaway had roles in the movies, "Brokeback Mountain", "The Princess Diaries" and "Alice in Wonderland" (2010). In 2009, she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role for the movie, "Rachel Getting Married", but lost to Kate Winslet for "The Reader". Other Oscar Nominees for Best Actress in a Leading Role that year were Melissa Leo for "Frozen River", Meryl Streep for "Doubt" and Angelina Jolie for "Changeling".
