Nicolas Cage made it big in 1987 with two terrific films, "Raising Arizona" and "Moonstruck", and was Oscar-nominated for his performance in "Adaptation" in 2002. He won in 1996 for "Leaving Las Vegas". He was born in California in 1964. His late grandfather, Carmine Coppola, was a composer who won an Oscar for his contributions to the musical scores for the "Godfather" trilogy. Cage is the nephew of director Francis Ford Coppola and actress Talia Shire.
