Answer: In a boat during a storm

The plot of "Frozen II" will revolve around Agnarr and Iduna (who are not named until then), and particularly Elsa's relationship to her mother. We learn there what their boat journey is all about, and that knowledge brings even more poignance to the scene here where we watch the boat capsize. I will not spoil it here.

Their parents die just as Elsa are reaching adulthood, while Anna is developing as a teenager. The effect on Anna is terrible: she is forced to grieve alone, as her only remaining family member Elsa is still too afraid to build a relationship with her.

Anna realized the only way to save the Enchanted Forest was to blow the dam and release the water. She teased the Earth giants into following her to the dam and throwing rocks at her in an attempt to kill her. The plan worked and the Earth giants destroyed the dam and released the water. Elsa came out of her frozen state in time to stop the water from destroying Arandelle. With the dam destroyed, the mist disappeared from the Enchanted Forest.

FYI, according to Yelena and Lieutenant Matisse, the mist over the Enchanted Forest lifted after thirty-four years, five months and twenty-three days.

When the trolls find out that Anna is engaged, the focus of their song "Fixer-Upper" shifts from Kristoff to Anna. Anna and Hans never wed, so it turns out the trolls were right!

Hans tries to kill Elsa so that he can be ruler of Arendelle. He also believes that if Elsa is dead summer will return to Arendelle.

Near the end of the movie, Hans tells Elsa that she is responsible for her sister's death before she mourns over her death.

Anna and Kristoff have both realized their love for each other. He races to save her, but Elsa's storm makes it difficult for them to reach each other.

Hans has gone in search of Elsa to kill her. When he tells her she has killed Anna, she is overcome with grief and collapses on to the frozen fjord. Her emotion calms the storm for a moment allowing Anna to see Hans standing over her with his sword drawn. As she's about to reach Kristoff, Anna changes course and leaps in between Hans and Elsa. At this point the ice in her heart spreads over her body and turns her into an ice statue and her frozen hand blocks the sword.

Near the end, it turns out that Prince Hans is the villain because he betrays Anna by refusing to kiss her, leaving her to die. He also charges Elsa with treason and sentences her to death. After that, Hans looks for Elsa and then tells her that her sister died because of her. After Elsa falls into a deep depression, Hans attempts to cut Elsa's head off. However, Anna saves Elsa's life by stepping in and turning into solid ice and blocks Han's sword as it is about to strike Elsa.

Grand Pabbie says that only an act of true love can thaw Anna's frozen heart. Kristoff rushes off to Arendelle with Anna and the others so that she can get a kiss from her true love Hans.

After Elsa accidentally freezes Anna's heart, Kristoff brings her to Grand Pabbie for help. Grand Pabbie explains that although he was able to unfreeze Anna's head, he cannot do the same for her heart.

As the summer is restored, Olaf also begins to melt, but Elsa saves him by creating a small cloud to follow him around and snow on him.

Everything becomes right again in the kingdom. Hans is sent back to the the Southern Isles to be punished. Anna and Elsa become close sisters once more. Kristoff receives a new sled from Anna and becomes the Official Ice Master for the kingdom. He and Anna also share their first kiss. The movie ends with Elsa creating an ice rink in the castle's courtyard and saying that the gates will never be closed again.
