Valentin has never met him, but he knows the leader is a descendant of a Cossack, the group of Russians that worked for the Nazis during World War II.

After Q briefs Bond on his new gadgets, Bond picks up Q's sub sandwich and Q snatches it away saying, "Don't touch that! It's my lunch." This was Desmond Llewelyn's 15th outing as Q in the "James Bond" series. He would go on to reprise the role two more times before his death in 1999.

His face is badly scarred from the blast at the chemical facility, believing the explosives would blast at six minutes instead of three. James then becomes unconscious from a dart shot at him.

Bond drops Trevelyan but the fall would only paralyze him. 007 then jumps from the antenna station to the Natalya commandeered helicopter. The station catches fire and falls onto Trevelyan, killing him.
