When Tony viewed Sosa's operation in Bolivia, he saw wonderful opportunities for Frank Lopez to branch out and join Sosa's operation as a combined effort. While Tony tried to negotiate it with Sosa, Omar became furious at the thought of Tony's attempt to overtake him as a negotiator for Frank Lopez. Unfortunate for Omar, one of Sosa's associates recognized him as a police informer, and he never made it back to Miami.

Tony was offended that Frank rejected the deal he proposed with Sosa. Although his intentions were good, that is not the way Frank saw it and Tony had the feeling, he was being viewed as a liar. They parted ways that night, for good. The one consolation to Tony was that it would make it easier now for him to approach Elvira. Tony now believed that Frank was not going to last in the drug business. He was too soft.

This is one of the greatest lines in any Al Pacino movie in my opinion. Yep, it's up there with 'He made him an offer he couldn't refuse' and 'Keep your friends close but your enemies closer'. And of course, 'Say hello to my little friend!'. What a film this is!

Unfortunately, for him, it was not his mother's idea of success and she let him know that. She was hard working and she wanted her daughter to avoid him. She viewed him as nothing but trouble.
