Jud Crandall (Fred Gwynne) told his new neighbor there was a nearby area of land which had been an old American Indian burial ground where people had been resurrected, but now the ground had become sour. Children still used it as a pet cemetery, but the resurrected animals were not friendly. When the neighbor's son, Gage Creed, was run over by a truck, he was buried in the magic ground, and came back to life as a murderous zombie. He attacked Jud and his mother (Denise Crosby).

Answer: Dead Alive

When Timothy's mom dies, he is overcome with grief, only to be very excited at her reanimation. The excitement quickly fades, as it become apparent that she now has an unworldly hunger that soon becomes difficult to sate. The son starts with small things, but gradually she works her way up to dogs, then people, ultimately requiring him to kill her. All the incorrect answers were other Peter Jackson films. Peter Jackson, now world renowned for his work on the "Lord of the Rings" films, was a schlock horror director for many years.

Answer: Dawn of the Dead

Both the original and the remake of "Dawn of the Dead" center around survivors in a shopping mall. In the 2004 remake, they look for a way to escape the ever growing numbers of the undead outside of the mall.

This one was part of the second 'After Dark Horrorfest'. The film focused on residents of an apartment building on Mulberry Street. They had to fight for their lives against people who had turned into vicious half zombie, half rat like monsters due to a deadly infection outbreak.

Answer: The Fog

"The Fog" was made by John Carpenter, who is famous for other horror films such as "The Thing" and "Halloween". Both "The Fog" and "Halloween" star Jamie Lee Curtis. This movie was remade in 2005 with famous celebrities like Tom Welling ("Smallville"), Maggie Grace ("LOST"), and Selma Blair ("A Guy Thing"). Although the remake was found to be disappointing, and was put down by critics, the original is still as great as ever.

And what a terribly bad film it was too...

Answer: Voodoo

Zombies have been created in different ways in various films. In "Sugar Hill" (1974) they were brought out with old fashioned voodoo. A woman named Sugar Hill had a boyfriend who was killed by gangsters. She went to a voodoo priestess (Zara Cully, Mother Jefferson of "The Jeffersons") to use zombies to kill the gangsters for revenge.

Tony Todd ("Candyman", "Final Destination") played Ben in a color remake of the zombie movie "Night of the Living Dead" (1990). One difference from the original "Night of the Living Dead" was that Barbara (Patricia Tallman) was a more forceful character. While the men argued about what to do about the zombies, she shot her way out and joined the group of rednecks who were roaming the countryside killing zombies. Unlike the original movie, Ben (Tony Todd) died and came back as a zombie. Of course, Tony Todd played the vengeful spirit of Daniel Robitaille, who had been unjustly killed and came back in the movie "Candyman". He also appeared as the creepy mortician in some of the "Final Destination" movies.

The vacation starts benignly enough, with the students having fun in a cabin. A local comes by and tells them what sounds like a ghost story about what the Nazis did to the locals in WW2, resulting in the townsfolk driving the Nazis into the mountains. Things get really interesting when the Nazis return, now zombies, and try to get at something in the students' cabin. You can find this film on Netflix; I highly recommend it.

Most of the night shock jock Logan Burnhardt is unaware of the outside events as he broadcasts his show on paranoia, often dismissing his listeners calls and pleas to pay attention because something weird is going on. Once alerted to the chaos outside his studio, his main focus and concern is making sure his family survives this vicious attack.

Shame she hasn't done much else since then. The four films are 'Zombie (Flesh Eaters)' (1979) (which is the one she didn't appear in), 'City of the Living Dead' (1980), 'The Beyond' (1981) and 'House by the Cemetery' (1981). 'Zombie 3' (1988) is not included as it's technically credited to Bruno Mattei who is alledged to have filmed most of it.
