Answer: What is Mara?
Ruth 1:20. In Biblical times, people often changed their name based on circumstances in their life. In telling people to call her Mara, she was letting people know that she was not the same person she used to be.

Answer: Let fall also some of the handfuls of purpose for her, and leave them, that she may glean them, and rebuke her not.
Thanks to Boaz's kindness, Ruth and Naomi always had plenty to eat. We also see that Boaz took an interest in Ruth even though he didn't come out and say that he was interested in her.

From Quiz: Let's Not Be Ruthless!
Answer: She went to the fields of a neighboring landowner to gather leftover grain.
It turns out that the field that Ruth went into belonged to a kinsman of her father-in-law, Elimelek, who was our man Boaz. This was the first chance that Boaz had to see Ruth.
Per Ruth 2:2-3 [NIV]"And Ruth the Moabite said to Naomi, 'Let me go to the fields and pick up the leftover grain behind anyone in whose eyes I find favor.'
Naomi said to her, 'Go ahead, my daughter.' So she went out, entered a field and began to glean behind the harvesters. As it turned out, she was working in a field belonging to Boaz, who was from the clan of Elimelek."

Answer: Ruth's faithfulness to and care for Naomi
While it is apparent that Boaz took his duty as a kinsman seriously, and that most or all of his actions accord with this, he said only that his kindness was because of Ruth's faithfulness to Naomi, even to the point of leaving her own land and her own people, and coming and living among strangers for Naomi's sake. Nothing in the book of Ruth says anything explicitly about Ruth's appearance, although Boaz' words in Ruth 3:10 may be taken to imply that Ruth was attractive enough to have had her choice among the young men.
Boaz appears to have behaved in exemplary fashion throughout the story.

From Quiz: Ruth's Story
Answer: Boaz
Ruth 2:1 "And Naomi had a kinsman of her husband's, a mighty man of wealth, of the family of Elimelech; and his name was Boaz." Ruth was a poor woman, so perhaps Naomi wanted Ruth to marry Boaz so he could look after her when Naomi died.
From Quiz: The Book of Ruth
Answer: Who was Boaz?
Ruth 2:1. I know this was rather easy, but Ruth is a short book and I want to get ten questions. Boaz was a wealthy man with a lot of influence. He was deeply moved by Ruth's devotion to her mother-in-law. He granted her privileges while gathering grain.
