Answer: reptile

They don't transform from sea dwelling to land dwelling creature so they are not amphibians. They don't have hair, so they aren't mammals. They don't have gills, so they aren't fish. They are reptiles with scales and cold blood.
2. What is the biggest species of crocodile?

Answer: Indo-Pacific

The larger male crocodiles of the Indo-Pacific species could sometimes reach in excess of 20 feet (over six m) in length and more than a ton (900 + kg)in weight. Also known as the saltwater crocodiles, they can be found in coastal areas of Southern Asia as well as Australia. The scientific name is Crocodylus porosus.
3. Is there such a thing as the American crocodile?

Answer: Yes

There is, but it is an endangered species due to poaching. They grow up to 15 feet (between 4-5 m) long! There is also a species known as the American alligator. The alligator is somewhat smaller, but would be big enough if you ran into one in the wild.

Answer: Europe

The home territory of wild crocodiles is located in tropical and near-tropical areas. While you won't find them in Europe (or Antarctica), they can be found in North America and South America. Alligators are not quite as sensitive to the cold.
