It is based on the apparent path of the sun across the celestial sphere throughout the year. It's often used for horoscopes and personality analysis, although its scientific validity is debated.

These are the first seven letters of the Greek alphabet: Alpha, beta, gamma, delta, epsilon, zeta and eta. The Greek alphabet, which originated around 800 BC, consists of 24 letters, each with an upper and lower case. It is the basis for many Western alphabets, including Latin and Cyrillic.

For example, the Greek letter alpha (A, α) influenced the Latin letter A, and beta (B, β) influenced the Latin letter B. In mathematics, science and engineering, Greek letters such as pi (Π, π) and delta (Δ, δ) are used to represent various constants and variables.
