Errol Flynn had a very bad reputation in Hollywood. He was accused and put on trial for statutory rape and he angered many with his quote, 'Rape, I wouldn't have to.' The rape-trial was the birth place of the slogan, 'In Like Flynn'.

In a scene from the movie 'It Happened One Night', Gable takes off his shirt to get ready for bed, and he is not wearing an undershirt. Sales of undershirts plummeted so much, Fruit of the Loom almost went out of business!

After her retirement, Garbo became a recluse. Photos of her were rare, and many hung outside her apartment building hoping for a glimpse of her.

Although this is Valentino's quote, it is true for the other choices as well. Valentino had many crazed fans. When he died, many of these fanatics killed themselves. That is taking idolation a 'bit' too far.

Hitchcock did not respect actors and actresses and referred to them as cattle.

Mickey Rooney played teen-aged Andy Hardy for about twenty years! At the end of these films they always managed to put on 'a show'.
