"Men of Respect" is based upon "Macbeth", first published in 1623. Rod Steiger's character, Charlie D'Amico, represented King Duncan, who was killed by Macbeth who, in turn, was represented by Mike Battaglia (Turturro) in the film. Macbeth killed King Duncan so that he could become the king, much like Battaglia wanted to become the kingpin of the mob. "Men of Respect" also starred Stanley Tucci and Peter Boyle. Krupa played Beda, an underboss who was contracted to murder Bankie Como (played by Dennis Farina) and Philly Como (played by David Thornton, who would later co-star with Krupa in "Home Alone 3"). Bankie Como and Philly Como represented Banquo and Fleance from "Macbeth", respectively. Beda's "Macbeth" equivalent was one of the three witches, although Shakespeare didn't give them actual names.

The movie was about four villains, working for a North Korean terrorist, who were trying to obtain a computer chip to go into a missile. The other two villains were Burton Jernigan (played by Lenny Von Dohlen) and Alice Ribbons (played by Rya Kihlstedt).

"Blue Streak" was released in 1999 and also starred Luke Wilson, Dave Chappelle, and William Forsythe. Martin Lawrence played a jewel thief who spent time in prison and returned to the scene of the crime to get the jewel. Unfortunately, the scene of the crime had been turned into a police station.

Although Peter Greene played the main villain in this film, Olek Krupa's character, Jean LaFleur, played a drug trafficker who the police were after and confronted near the end of the film.
