Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who signed the funding agreement with the United Planets?

Answer: Lightning Lad

Lightning Lad failed to read the agreement before signing, setting the Legion up to appear as nothing more than flunkies for the government of the 31st century. This causes the Legion's approval rating to plummet. These events happened in "Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes" #20, which went on sale in 2006.
2. According to Element Lad, what is death?

Answer: A transmutation

"Nura's experienced the most profound of all transmutations . . . " Element Lad says of his dead teammate Dream Girl. Despite this, Brainiac 5 tries to bring her back to life with a mixed degree of success. His efforts finally pay off in "Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes" #21, which went on sale in 2006.
3. How does Shadow Lass communicate?

Answer: Physcially

"Where I come from, this is how we communicate--physically." exclaimed Shadow Lass to Karate Kid in a flashback featured in "Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes" #22, which went on sale in 2006. Shadow Lass went on to date Ultra Boy, who felt threatened by Supergirl.
4. Why does Cosmic Boy feel uneasy when Supergirl is around?

Answer: Their electromagnetic fields clash

Invisible Boy answers this longstanding question in the 22nd issue of "Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes" by scanning both Cosmic Boy's and Supergirl's electromagnetic fields. This puts Cosmic Boy at ease, and reveals Invisible Boy as yet another would-be suitor for Supergirl.
5. Who punches Ultra Boy right in the nose?

Answer: Karate Kid

During a training session, Karate Kid takes advantage of Ultra Boy's meditation session to punch him in the nose, taking him by surprise. Thus, Ultra Boy learned never to let his guard down! Ultra Boy suffered the humiliation in "Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes" #22, which went on sale in 2006.
6. Ultra Boy destroys the majority of meteors headed toward Tykon's fourth moon.

Answer: True

Supergirl and Ultra Boy tackle the annual meteor shower threatening Tykon's fourth moon, but because the moon is under an orange sun, Supergirl's powers don't work as well, giving Ultra Boy the upper hand in their competition of strength and restoring his relationship with Shadow Lass. Ultra Boy regained his confidence in "Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes" #22, which went on sale in 2006.
7. What does Brainiac 5 do that causes Light Lass to question his sanity for a second time?

Answer: He exposes Supergirl to kryptonite

Brainiac 5 exposes Supergirl to kryptonite to weaken her enough to get a tranquilizer injection to combat her nausea and declare to her once and for all that she isn't dreaming the whole culture up! Drastic measures are taken in "Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes" #23, which went on sale in 2006.
8. Who's trapped in the Phantom Zone projector?

Answer: Mon-El

Mon-El, or "Valor", has super-strength and super-speed, flight, and all the powers associated with Superman, but he is extremely allergic to lead. An exposure to lead led to his fatal poisoning, which is why he was put in the Phantom Zone so that a cure could be found. Mon-El first appeared in "Superboy" #89, which went on sale in 1961, but his first appearance in "Adult Education" is issue # 23 of "Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes", which went on sale in 2006.
9. Which team member was not among those abducted by the Wanderers?

Answer: Element Lad

Karate Kid, Star Boy, Light Lass, and Ultra Boy are all abducted by the Wanderers from Legion headquarters in "Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes" #25, which went on sale in 2007.
10. According to the hooded visitor, what is the Legion's motto?

Answer: "Eat it, Grandpa!"

This is revealed in 2006 in "Legion of Super-Heroes" #15, when a group of non-powered teens get reminded that being in the Legion isn't about having powers, it's about doing what's ethically correct and being courageous. The hooded stranger regaling the group with stories turns out to be a Superboy-lookalike who claims to be Dav Huntr.
