1. Piilupart Donald

Answer: Estonian

Donald Duck comics have been popular in Estonia for many years going back to when the country was part of the USSR during which time Donald Duck comics were one of the few Western comics allowed in the country. In 2011 a Donald Duck comic was published in Estonia called 'The Hansa Hazard' with a cover featuring St Olaf's church tower, which is a landmark in the Estonian capital Tallinn.
2. Tang Lao Ya

Answer: Chinese

Donald Duck made his first legitimate appearance in China in the 1980s in a TV series showing Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck cartoons. Prior to this the character could be seen on unlicensed imitation products produced in China. The cartoons were dubbed into Mandarin Chinese and were broadcast on the state television service CCTV.

6. Paja Patak

Answer: Serbian

Donald Duck cartoons first appeared in Serbia in the magazine Politikin Zabavnik in 1939 but publication of the magazine was halted in 1941 due to World War II. Following the war Serbia became part of Yugoslavia and comics were initially banned as they were viewed as a product of capitalism and a symbol of the west.

However in 1952 this ban was relaxed and Politikin Zabavnik resumed publication and continued to include Donald Duck cartoons.
7. Aku Ankka

Answer: Finnish

Donald Duck cartoons first appeared in Finland in 1951 in a comic titled 'Aku Ankka' - the Finnish name for Donald Duck. 'Aku Ankka' was originally published monthly but moved to weekly editions in 1961. There is an urban legend which states that the character Donald Duck was banned in Finland because he doesn't wear any pants - however this is not true and seems to have come about because in the 1970s a Helsinki politician suggested the city's youth clubs should stop subscribing to 'Aku Ankka' to save money as the city was struggling financially.
8. Kaczor Donald

Answer: Polish

The Polish name for Donald Duck is simply a translation from English with the Polish word kaczor simply meaning a male duck.
