1. Kraken
Answer: SeaWorld Orlando
Opened in 2000 at SeaWorld in Orlando, Kraken is a steel rollercoaster with no floor! The track length is over 4000 feet long.
2. Jurassic World: VelociCoaster
Answer: Universal Studios
They make you go through a metal detector before getting strapped into one of the most intense roller coasters on the planet. It opened in 2021, moves at over 70 mph, and features two dramatic starts.
3. Harry Potter and The Escape From Gringotts
Answer: Universal Studios
If you're in Diagon Alley at Universal Studios in Orlando, you can't pass up a chance to become Harry Potter. The roller coaster ride lasts five minutes and you experience one memorable drop during the ride. It's not as scary as some of the other roller coasters but it's an unforgettable experience that opened in 2014.
4. SheiKra
Answer: Busch Gardens Tampa
If heights is your biggest fear, watch out for the 90 degree drop on SheiKra at Busch Gardens. Not only do you drop at that angle, the ride stops while you're vertically upside down and holds you there for a few seconds before the drop. It opened at Busch Gardens in 2005.
5. Space Mountain
Answer: Magic Kingdom Orlando
The grandpa roller coaster of this set opened way back in 1975 at Disneyworld Orlando. The indoor roller coaster's biggest thrill is that the ride is in the dark and each drop and twist comes as a complete surprise on this classic Disney roller coaster.
6. Manta
Answer: SeaWorld Orlando
Manta opened at SeaWorld Orlando in 2009. You won't forget this roller coaster if you experienced it! You get strapped in head-first and face down as you simulate being a string ray gliding through the water moving 56 mph.
7. Rock N Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith
Answer: Disney Hollywood Studios
Opened in 1999, this roller coaster biggest claim to fame is their sponsorship with the Boston rockers, Aerosmith. The ride lasts under two minutes but does go fast and reached 5g of force.
8. The Barnstormer
Answer: Magic Kingdom Orlando
Hey even the little kids get to experience a roller coaster! This junior roller coaster is made for kids. Top speed is 25 mph, duration is just under a minute, but the ride which opened in 1996 is a great gateway to the bigger and faster rides later in life.
9. Montu
Answer: Busch Gardens Tampa
Since opening shortly after Kumba at Busch Gardens in Tampa, Montu has become one of the most popular roller coasters in the state. You've got to wait for the first car and experience seven inversions, a 60 foot vertical loop, and speeds up to 55 mph.
10. Iron Gwazi
Answer: Busch Gardens Tampa
Longtime guests to Busch Gardens Tampa remember the wooden roller coaster, Gwazi. This is not your father's roller coaster; the new Iron Gwazi (2022) was voted Best New Roller Coaster in the USA. A hybrid of the old wooden coaster mixed with a steel track, the Iron Gwazi features a 206 foot drop, speeds over 75mph, and a 91 degree drop (they had to beat SheiKra's 90 degree drop).
