"Who Let the Dogs Out" was a question that plagued and annoyed the world for most of 2000. However, we are never given an answer as to who let the dogs out. According to the Baha Men, there is no answer as they wanted to keep interest in the song. The band has also stated in numerous interviews that there is no deeper meaning to the song. It's merely meant to be catchy.

In Christie's 1934 thriller "Why Didn't They Ask Evans?", the title is the final word's of the book's victim and much of the novel involves the protagonists wondering who Evans is, who "they" are and why didn't they ask Evans. Evans turns out to be a parlor maid who wasn't asked to witness a will despite being the most obvious person to do so because the book's culprit's pretended to be a rich man rewriting his will in favor of them. Evans, a long time employee of the man, would not have been deceived while the newer hired help would have been.

Baby Jane (Bette Davis) was a popular child actress but as time went on, she became less and less popular and sought out in favor of her older sister Blanche (Joan Crawford). As elderly adults, Jane is a neurotic alcoholic jealous of her sister's success while Blanche requires a wheelchair and looks after her sister.

However, Jane is becoming more and more difficult to handle and Blanche plans on putting her in an asylum which forms the basis of the movie's plot.

In the 1962 Albee play, George constantly sings "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" a play on "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?". The song is something of a running inside joke between George and his wife Martha whose marriage takes a turn for the worse in the play. At the end, George sings the song once more to which Martha replies she is to the title question.

During the fourth episode of season four, the culprit was finally revealed as Kristin Shepard (Mary Crosby), the sister of J.R.'s wife Sue Ellen whom J.R. was having an affair with.

"Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" is a 1988 film that mixes live action with animation. Roger Rabbit is formerly popular animated rabbit who is framed for the murder of Marvin Acme, whom Roger suspected of having an affair with his wife Jessica. Chaos and adventure ensue until the end when Judge Doom is revealed to have killed Acme (and others) to prevent Toon Town reverting to control of the cartoons.

After a serious of comedic incidents as they try to recreate their previous day, they find Jesse's car behind a mail truck where a group of aliens hid it for safety reasons.

While Angela was technically Tony's boss, the two developed a tight friendship and their families became closer, almost as one unit.

Although Homer and Smithers were generally considered the most likely people, the actual shooter was baby Maggie. Mr. Burns tried to steal a lollipop from Maggie and during the struggle, Maggie accidentally pulled the trigger on a nearby gun, non-fatally injuring the most hated man in town.
