1. The Wytes were a group of reptiles and birds. What was the name of the Doomwyte?

Answer: Korvus Skurr

Korvus Skurr was a giant black-feathered raven who was the leader of the Wytes. He believed that a great monster fish named Welzz that lived in a river running through his cave would talk to the serpent he wore around his head only if he was fed one of the reptile Wytes. Sicariss, the serpent he wore as a crown, knew this and pretended to be speaking to Welzz, when really she was just making it all up.

Chigid was the leader of the Painted Ones, Veeku was a Wyte and Sicariss was a serpent.
2. Which letter ended all of the names of the mice of the Gonfelin tribe?

Answer: O

The Gonfelin were a group of thieves who were all descendants of the great Gonff the Mousethief. Some of the names of the mice were: Spingo, Gobbo, Tingo, Bumbo and the leader (which they called pikehead) Nokko.
3. One of the following characters didn't get married at the end of the book. Which one was it?

Answer: Umfry

Dwink got married to Perrit and Bisky got married to Spingo. There is also another pair who got married, Skipper Rorgus to Zaran. Bisky and Spingo had a young one, a daughter named Andio, Rorgus and Zaran had a young son named Rorzan and Dwink and Perrit had a tiny daughter named Mittee.

Answer: Sight

Baliss was a blind adder whose ancestor was the great Asmodeus. Korvus Skurr originally used Baliss to scare the Redwallers into handing over one of the great Doomwyte jewels, but Baliss ended up eating some of the reptiles.

Tugga Brustler was a big shrew with an iron club. He was very mean and highly hated by the Guosim. Tugga Bruster got in trouble with the Redwallers for attempting to steal one of the great Doomwyte jewels. He ended up being killed by a Painted One named Tala, whose husband Tugga had killed. A shrew named Garul took over his spot as Log A Log.

Answer: Honey and springwater

Blodd Apis was an old Hedgehog who owned a group of bees, which she called the "Wild Sweet Gatherers". She said to Foremole that the drink (which was called mead) got stronger the more seasons it was around for. The one she used was ten seasons old! It was so strong it knocked Perrit and Dwink out. Blodd Apis ended up dying by being stung by lots of bees after she spilled a deadly liquid that the bees hated on her.
7. Who was chosen by Martin the Warrior to guard the Doomwyte Jewel?

Answer: Aluco

Martin told Dwink in a dream to tell Aluco the owl to guard the Doomwyte jewel because somebody would try to steal it. Tugga Bruster, the creature who tried to steal the jewel, knocked Aluco out with Nokko's sandbag to make it seem like Nokko did it. The Redwallers end up finding out it was Tugga Bruster who stole the jewel.
8. Who was the only hare in this book?

Answer: Bosie McSkutta

Bosie McSkutta was a mountain hare with a very strong accent. He became a Redwaller after he saved the life of a dibbun named Durgy from a crow. Bosie McSkutta ended up using Martin's sword as his form of weapon. Like all hares, Bosie had a huge appetite.
9. Who was the loudest snorer of Redwall?

Answer: Umfry

It said this in chapter 8. Brother Torilis, the strict herbalist, used rosehip syrup to stop him from snoring. He poured some over Umfry's footpaws, and Umfry curled up into a ball and stopped snoring! Brother Torilis said that rosehip syrup makes Hedgehogs curl up into a ball and start sucking their footpaws in their sleep!
