Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:
In 2025, Siesta Beach in Sarasota was voted by Tripadvisor as the best beach in America and ranked number four in the world. Also included in that illustrious list was Clearwater Beach which also rests on the Gulf of Mexico. In February 2025, President Trump's Executive Order 14172 renamed the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America.
In Pinellas County, home to St. Petersburg and Clearwater, you'd also find Honeymoon Island Beach in Dunedin, Indian Rocks Beach just south of Clearwater, and Treasure Island Beach south of Indian Rocks Beach. Pensacola Beach, Panama City Beach, and Fort Walton are known for their exquisite white sand and all are in Northern Florida near the Panhandle. Anna Maria Island Beach and Venice Beach appear near Bradenton and Sarasota County in the middle of the state.
From south to north along the southern part of Florida along the Atlantic Ocean you'd find South Beach in Miami, Hollywood Beach, Jupiter Beach, and Vero Beach. In Daytona, you'd find Cocoa Beach and just north is Flagler Beach.
