Answer: Evita

"Evita" has great music and lyrics. The music is by Andrew Lloyd Webber and the lyrics are by Tim Rice. "Evita" opened on June 21, 1978, at the Prince Edward Theatre in London and ran for 2,900 performances.

"Another Suitcase in Another Hall" is sung by Eva Peron's husband's mistress. Eva has thrown her out of the house, and the mistress contemplates her future.
2. I See a River

Answer: Urinetown

Mark Hollman composed the music for " Urinetown", and Greg Kotis wrote the book and lyrics. "Urinetown" was directed by John Rando. The overall synopsis of "Urinetown" is that there is such a water shortage that people can no longer have private toilets in their homes.

This song is sung in the second act of the show. The town is at peace, and people are looking forward to the future, and the ability to pee anywhere and anytime.

Answer: Wicked

"Wicked" opened on Broadway on October 30, 2003, in the Gershwin Theatre. The music was written by Stephen Schwartz. Kristin Chenoweth, who played Galinda 9later to be Glinda), sang this song to Elphaba during the first act. Galinda, who is very popular, lets Elphaba, who is not very popular due to her green skin, know she will make her popular as well. "But not as popular as me," she tells her.
4. Giants in the Sky

Answer: Into The Woods

"Into The Woods" was produced by Heidi Landesman, Rocco Landesman, Rick Steiner, M. Anthony Fisher, Frederic Mayerson, and Jujamcyn Theatres. Stephen Sondheim wrote the music and lyrics. "Into The Woods" was directed by James Lapine. It opened on November 5, 1987, at the Martin Beck Theatre and ran for 764 performances.

"Giants in the Sky" takes place during the first act. Jack (originally played by Ben Wright) has gone up the beanstalk that the magical beans grew. In the song, he shares his adventures of meeting a giant. He explains, "And she gives you food and she gives you rest, and she draws you close to her giant breast."
5. Follow Your Heart

Answer: Urinetown

Mark Hollmann and Greg Kotis wrote "Follow Your Heart" for "Urinetown". The song is sung during the first act by Hope Cladwell (originally played by Jennifer Laura Thompson) and Bobby Strong (originally played by Hunter Foster).

Bobby is upset because his father was arrested. He wonders if he could have done something to help his dad. Hope tells him, "Follow your heart." During the song, the two both realize they want to make the world a better place. They want a world where you can go pee for free.
6. Cool, Cool, Considerate Men

Answer: 1776

"1776" is a Broadway musical that first opened on Broadway on March 16, 1969, in the 46th Street Theatre. The music and lyrics were written by Sherman Edwards. The book was written by Peter Stone.

The song was sung by John Dickinson (originally played by Paul Hect) and the other Conservatives.

"Cool, Cool, Considerate Men" is the first song in Act II. Dickinson and the other Conservatives are defending their wealth and political views. According to William Daniels (who played John Adams), in his memoir "There I Go Again: How I Came to Be Mr. Feeny, John Adams, Dr. Craig, KITT, and Many Others", the song was originally going to be called "Cool, Cool, Conservative Men", but it was changed as to not offend anyone.
7. Defying Gravity

Answer: Wicked

"Defying Gravity" was originally sung on Broadway by Idina Menzel (as Elphaba) and Kristin Chenoweth (as Glinda). Elphaba is the main singer of the song.

The song is sung at the end of Act I when Elphaba realizes the truth about the Wizard and vows to fight him. At this point, she begins making the change into the Wicked Witch of the West. It is during this song that she enchants the broom so she can fly.
8. Sit Down, John

Answer: 1776

"Sit Down, John" is the first song of Act I. It is sung by John Adams (played by William Daniels) and the rest of the Congress. The song takes place on May 8, 1776. John Adams, who was not liked by the others, is frustrated because no one will even debate his independence proposals. On top of everything else, it was extremely hot that day, so they were preoccupied with opening a window while telling John to sit down.
9. Don't Cry For Me Argentina

Answer: Evita

Eva Peron (originally played by Patti LuPone) sings "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" at the beginning of the 2nd act. Eva's husband was elected president of Argentina in 1946. She is on the balcony speaking to all her fans. She lets them know that while she initially just wanted fame, she realizes her calling was to be there for the people of Argentina.
10. Children Will Listen

Answer: Into The Woods

"Children Will Listen" is the final number of the show "Into the Woods". The Baker (originally played by Chip Zien), Little Red Riding Hood (originally played by Danielle Ferland), Jack (originally played by Ben Wright), and Cinderella (originally played by Kim Crosby) are leaving the woods, having defeated the giant.

As they leave, the Witch (originally played by Bernadette Peters) starts singing "Children Will Listen", warning people to "be careful the things you say, children will listen." The rest of the cast returns to join her in the song ending with, "Careful the tale you tell, that is the spell. Children will listen. Children will listen."
