Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The Billionaire Shifter's Curvy Match
Answer: Diana Seere
Our heroine Lilah Murphy becomes a cocktail waitress at an exclusive establishment called the Platinum Club, where she meets Gavin Stanton a billionaire CEO of a Boston Biotech firm. Gavin lusts after Lilah and pursues her. But here's the thing...he's a werewolf, a shape shifter member of his ancient family of shape shifters with this secret they've kept for centuries, rooted in British aristocracy.
Although Gavin is consumed with his work, he finds himself consumed now with the unquenchable urge, known to him as "the Beat", to mate with Lilah.
She also feels or senses him in her mind, but she fights the urge because she doesn't want to risk losing her job now that she has one good enough to support herself, her sister and her sick mother.
2. Failure to Match
Answer: Kyra Parsi
This is the second book in the "Bad Billionaire Bosses" series.
Here, Jamie is a matchmaker (Hey! That's what you the Funtrivia Player are also doing right now!) who takes pride in her never having failed to find a match for a client. That is, until now, when she takes on the case of a conceited bossy billionaire named Jason Sinclair. Jamie decides on a risky strategy--she will go undercover (soon under the covers?), as one of Jason's blind dates. Maybe then she'll get a better idea of what makes this guy tick. Will the initial tensions lead to a deeper emotional connection? C'mon now.
3. Maid to Match
Answer: Deeanne Gist
In this early 20th century historical romance novel, the heroine is Tillie Reese, who is employed as a parlor maid at the esteemed Biltmore estate Asheville, North Carolina, owned by the Vanderbilts. Tillie wants more, though, and is determined to rise to the level of the lady's maid to Edith Vanderbilt herself.
The position would grant her higher social status and higher income. But then, a rugged mountain man named Mack Danvers enters the scenario, and Tillie is tasked with the responsibility of tutoring him on the ways of high society. Things become complicated, however, when Tillie and Mack encounter a cover-up involving an orphanage in town.
4. Making the Match
Answer: Kristen Ashley
This is the fourth book in the author's "River Rain" series, and the story here involves a multimedia artist named Mika Stowe, and a former tennis pro named Tom Pierce (in a "romance match" themed quiz you knew you'd come across a tennis storyline sooner or later, didn't you?).
The two have known each other for a long time, having met at a party, and despite their mutual attraction, Mika kept away since Tom was married. But now, as it happens, they both recently suffered the loss of a loved one. Now they're both single, and I bet you're thinking, "Wow, I have no idea where this plot is going!" A singles match perhaps? Will the final score be Love-Love?
5. A Match for Emma
Answer: Pepper Basham
Emma Mitchell is the lead character, and she is a matchmaker who enjoys the feeling she gets from linking two people who form a romantic relationship. And now, Emma plans on attending culinary school in Europe. But as these things go, her travel plans collapse, and her matchmaking endeavors encounter some hiccups.
But her best friend, Jon Noble, has moved back to Ransom, his hometown with Emma, and the two start to discover that they have complicated feelings about each other, and also about themselves.
6. A Match Made In High School
Answer: Kristin Walker
This is a romance novel in the young adult sub-genre, set in high school where Fiona Sheehan is a senior who along with all the seniors, is required by the principal to take part in a year-long Marriage Education program, whereby students are paired up as pretend couples. Gee, what can go wrong? Or...go so right? Fiona was hoping she'd be paired up with Gabe, the boy she's had a crush on for a long time, but instead gets "married" to Todd the stereotypical high school jock. And what's worse, his cheerleader girlfriend Amanda hates Fiona. Meanwhile, Fiona's best friend, Marcie, has been paired up with a mysterious boy who is inexplicably named Johnny Mercer, and no he's not the same Johnny Mercer who wrote "Moon River", "That Old Black Magic" and so many other classic love songs.
7. Matched
Answer: Ally Condie
This is the first installment in Ally Condie's "Matched" dystopian romance trilogy in which heroine Cassia Reyes deals with a future society in which the government controls every part of people's lives, from their career paths to their romantic relationships, in which they are paired up with partners at the age of 17 at a Match Banquet.
She winds up being matched with her best friend, a boy named Xander Carrow, and she is actually okay with that, even pleased at first. It was perhaps even predictable since The Match Banquet uses an algorithm based on compatibility.
However, when Cassia comes across the picture of another boy on her Match screen, a boy named Ky Markham from her school who was somewhat of an outcast, she finds her feelings getting stirred up.
She finds herself questioning the very methodology of the Society, and embarks on a journey of self-discovery.
8. Not My Match
Answer: Ilsa Madden-Mills
"Not My Match" is the second book in Ilsa Madden-Mills "The Game Changers" series, which involve love between women and male athletes. The athlete in this one is professional football wide receiver Devon Walsh and the woman is a virginal, socially awkward but brilliant 24-year-old genius scientist Giselle Riley. An unfortunate series of circumstances renders Giselle homeless, and so Devon has agreed to take her in as a roommate.
He even tries to function as a matchmaker for her, to break her penchant for dating loser men that she meets online.
But Devon finds himself feeling jealous when he plays third wheel as he accompanies her on the dates. He starts to feel a strong romantic attraction for Giselle. Will this wide receiver play quarterback and make a "pass" at Giselle? Will he run a route into her heart? Or will these feelings get intercepted by their complicated lives?
9. A Reckless Match
Answer: Kate Bateman
This historical romance is set in the Regency era of Great Britain, the early 19th century, and it centers on two households that have been feuding for centuries, the Davies and Montgomery families. On the Davies side, there is the rogue Gryffud "Gryff" Davies, and on the Montgomery side is Madeline Montgomery, who harbors a hate/love feeling about Gryffud.
She never thought that he held any of the love part of that equation for her, but indeed he did...and does. Turns out that while he was off fighting in the Napoleonic Wars, thoughts of the Madeline he loved to tease sustained him during the war. Meanwhile she has been fighting her own family's war against financial ruin.
When Gryffud returns to take on the responsibilities as the new Earl of Powys, after his father's death, he finds that Madeline has grown into a strong beautiful woman.
When will the two of them stop and realize that their hostilities were only a mask for their love of each other?
10. Unlikely Match
Answer: Laura Bradbury
Jules Kelly is an unconventional, strong boss of her hipster tech company, GoodGuides, who is excited at the prospect that her company won subsidized office space in one of the most prime choice co-working spaces in Vancouver, Canada. One hitch in the good fortune though, is that one of the other companies in that co-working space is a database company led by CEO Tom Davenport whom Jules despises.
The other, graver, issue however, is that Jules is suffering from a rare liver disease and needs a transplant. And yet, what are these nagging feeling that Jules also has about Tom.

She finds herself drawn to him in ways she's not sure she can come to grips with.
