I find this to be a great example of Milo's cleverness. The full title of Milo's syndicate was, "M & M Enterprises, Fine Fruits And Produce".

Answer: An egg.

Milo was trying to see if Major __________de Coverley was interested in fresh eggs for himself and the squadron's men. The major confesses a weakness for fresh eggs, so a deal is struck. The major provides Milo with an airplane once a week to fly to Malta where the eggs are. It is the first "major" deal Milo makes, and the birth of his syndicate.

Answer: Milo, 3 chapters: "Milo", "Milo The Mayor", "Milo The Militant". Yossarian has just 2 chapters named after him: "Yossarian", and "Yo-Yo's Roomies".

While it is true that Milo has more chapters named for him, whether named or not, Yossarian and Milo's adventures are liberally placed throughout the book by author Heller. Yossarian, the lonely fighter for the rights of the individual (him). And Milo, the defender of the free enterprise system (his enterprise).

An interesting sidebar to this question is that wartime logistics depended on a whole system of pilots whose commanders would donate their time and aircraft to fly to various locales and pick-up goods. One particular pilot who didn't like Milo or his syndicate was summarily transferred to the Solomon Islands to bury bodies! One bad apple, eh Milo?

5. General Dreedle was the general with the craving for Polish sausage.

Answer: false

The general who kick started Milo's meteoric career was an unnamed general who commanded B-17's on the (Italian) mainland.

6. How did Milo's penchant for micro-managing M & M Enterprises finally get him in deep do-do?

Answer: When he bought the entire Egyptian cotton crop.

Interesting that the capitalist notion of profit provides the key to this answer. The three incorrect answers all showed a profit for "M & M Enterprises". Whereas buying the entire Egyptian cotton crop produced a market glut when Milo tried to unload it and nearly bankrupted M & M.

Answer: It is Yossarian and he is sitting naked in a tree above a cemetery.

Yossarian has finally had it! He is up a tree, naked, in protest to flying more missions. He actually tastes a bit of Milo's disgusting chocolate cotton before he realizes what it is, then spits it out choking on cotton seeds when Milo tells him what it is.

Answer: It was poor Snowden who died from mutiple flak wounds on a mission.

Snowden's grisly secret was contained in the massive flak wound inside his vest. Yossarian had been giving him first aid for the large leg wound Snowden also had. Realizing his mistake, he opens his vest only to recoil at the sight of Snowden's guts spilling all over the floor of the bomber.

9. Now back to Milo. Milo trusted Yossarian above all, because Yossarian would do anything that Milo asked of him.
