Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In "Love Only Once" Regina Ashton is addressed by many different names. What does her husband, Nicholas Eden, call her?

Answer: Regina

Regina Ashton, the orphaned child of Melissa Malory Ashton, is raised by her many uncles. Most of them affectionately call her Reggie or 'puss'. James Malory, however, insists on annoying them by calling her Regan. Nicholas Eden, her true love, simply calls her Regina.
2. In "Tender Rebel", how does Anthony Malory offer to help Roslynn Chadwick?

Answer: He'll be her confidante in selecting a husband.

Anthony, desperate to seduce Roslynn, will offer anything in order to spend more time with her. Though he pretends to help her find a husband, the only thing Anthony really does is make sure she marries no one but himself. He exaggerates some of her suitors' faults, and creates outright lies about the others!
3. What words does Georgina Anderson use to describe her lover, James Malory, in "Gentle Rogue"?

Answer: "Brick wall" and "brainless ox"

Georgie certainly has a way with words. Though she tries very hard to behave like a well-bred young lady, her temper usually gets the better of her. She also has a tendency to talk to herself, but in this instance, she shares her thoughts with James' entire crew!
4. In "The Magic of You", how old is Amy Malory when she sets out to seduce 37-year-old Warren Anderson?

Answer: 17 (and a half)

The nearly twenty-year age gap is no hindrance to the determined Amy. Warren, on the other hand, is completely appalled that such a young girl can be in hot pursuit of him.
5. What does Derek Malory hire Kelsey Langston to do in "Say You Love Me"?

Answer: Be his mistress

Derek actually buys Kelsey in a house of ill repute. He pays a large sum for her to be his mistress--for as long as he deems desirable. She has no say in the matter, and is actually threatened by the brothel owner to not ruin the transaction.
6. In "The Present", Christopher Malory loves Anastasia, who unfortunately belongs to what group of people?

Answer: Gypsies

Anastasia's gypsy good looks are later inherited by Melissa, Anthony, Regina, and Amy. Anastasia changes her name to the Anglicized "Anna" to keep her history a secret.
7. Jeremy Malory is the hero of "A Loving Scoundrel". He becomes besotted with a feisty orphan named Danny. What is her profession?

Answer: Pickpocket

Jeremy Malory, like his father James, is a confirmed rake. However, his fickle heart settles permanently on the beautiful thief Danny. Jeremy helps Danny uncover the mystery of her past and reclaim her heritage.
8. In "Captive of My Desires", Gabrielle Brooks falls head-over-heels in love with Drew Anderson. Alas, what secret does she conceal from him?

Answer: She's the daughter of a pirate.

Drew Anderson, like all of his brothers, detests pirates. It is ironic, of course, that he falls in love with a pirate's daughter!
9. In "No Choice But Seduction", Boyd Anderson sets out to win Katey Tyler's heart. What does he do that turns her against him?

Answer: He accuses her of being a kidnapper

Katey Tyler becomes embroiled in a crime when one of the young Malory girls is kidnapped. Boyd Anderson mistakenly thinks that she is part of the kidnapping plot and inadvertently leads her to jail. He is later thrilled to find out that she is actually the heroine of the episode, not the villain.

Unfortunately, she begins to despise Boyd during her brief period of incarceration, and it takes a lot of Anderson charm to coax her out of her pique!
10. What is the other main family in the Malory Series?

Answer: The Andersons

The Andersons are a large, rich family from America. At least one Anderson appears in all of the Malory novels except for the first one ("Love Only Once"). James marries Georgie; Amy marries Warren; Drew marries Gabrielle; and Boyd marries Katey.
