"The Hollow" Trivia Quiz

In the novel the evil entity manifests itself into things that the main characters fear. The entity manifests a snake in Fox's office while Layla was alone, then again later in the book, manifested snakes coming out of her shower drain. Layla was discussing her fears with the group of main characters; she said "I don't know if it's an actual phobia. I just don't like...okay, I'm afraid of snakes. Things that slither."

In the diaries of Ann's that were found, she talks about how grateful she is to her cousin for taking her in. Giles sent Ann to them to protect her and their unborn children while he faced the demon.

Answer: In Fox's childhood home.

Quinn researched for possible relatives of Ann Hawkins, and she found the cousin. The cousin's family name was Ellsworth; with that information Quinn was able to determine that they had lived on a farm that the locals called "Hollow Creek". "Hollow Creek" turned out to be Fox's family home, so the main characters were able to search the farm. On the first search Fox's parents were home and they did not find the diaries.

The main characters went back when Fox's parents were not present and they found them that time.

When Mrs. H. came to the office to say good-bye before she and her husband left town, Fox gave her a present. He told her that the gift was not to be considered a going-away present because he was too upset with her to give her a going-away gift. It was to be considered a thank-you gift for everything that she had done for him.

Sage and her partner Paula have decided that they want to have a child. Fox was asked and he agreed to father Paula's child, so that his sister Sage could be a parent.

Each of the main characters suffers through something simultaneously. Fox was in his office when spiders started to attack him, Layla was having a shower and she believed that snakes were coming out of the drains. Caleb was leaving the bowling alley and everywhere he went in town had been bombed; meanwhile Quinn was jogging to the store for ice-cream but she was stuck in a loop repeatedly jogging the same block.

At the house Gage had stopped and was talking to Cybil when she went blind. Gage believed he was a young child again waiting at home for a drunk abusive parent.

The three women spent a day looking at gowns at a little boutique that Layla found. Each of them choose what they thought was the perfect gown, then after the choices were made Quinn tried on the gowns. The gown that Quinn choose was the one that Layla picked out for her.

Answer: The pieces were reunited to make one whole.

Towards the end of the novel the main characters decided to preform the blood ritual at Pagan Stone. The ritual involved a variety of items, a chant, as well as blood from each of the main characters. In the end, the pieces of the bloodstone that had been broken in three by Giles centuries earlier were reunited and the stone was made whole again.
