Answer: Miles Bron

Miles Bron is seen by many as being 'an eccentric genius' who is definitely a billionaire. He has a private island in Greece, to which he has invited his friends, whom he calls 'the disruptors' for a weekend of relaxation during which they will be tasked with solving a murder mystery.
When the boat bearing his guests arrives, he is sitting in a chair on the beach playing the Beatles' song "Blackbird". Birdie squeals with delight because he is playing her song and he replies "...and on the guitar that Paul composed it on" before casually tossing the guitar away, to Birdie's horror.

Miles is played by Edward Norton.

Answer: Benoit Blanc

Benoit Blanc is referred to as 'the world's greatest detective' by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar during an online game they are playing. He is also obviously seen that way by many people and when the guests invited to the island for the weekend talk about him they laud it as another brilliant move by Miles, inviting such a renowned detective to his murder mystery weekend.

"Glass Onion" is Daniel Craig's second appearance as Blanc, having first played him in "Knives Out".

Answer: Ma Cody

The boxes are delivered to 'the disruptors' who immediately phone each other to try to work through how to open them. Most of the friends are relying on Lionel, with his 'science brain' but he is flummoxed, only commenting that the pattern in the wood looks familiar. Then we hear Duke's mother, Ma Cody, yelling that it is a stereogram which Lionel immediately recognises while Duke yells "Ma" at his mother and explains that she has opened his box already.
Lionel looks at the box and un-focuses his eyes, finding an arrow that points to the spot that opens the box.

Jackie Hoffman plays Ma Cody in a small but very funny role.

Answer: Birdie Jay

Birdie Jay is a former model who has a line of designer sweatpants, started because of the leisure wear needed during the Covid lockdown. Miles has funded her endeavors, of course.
Birdie is not terribly bright and has a habit of getting herself in trouble in the public eye by the seemingly insensitive and politically incorrect comments she makes, that are really nothing more than the result of her lack of understanding. For example, when cautioned that the place she has chosen to have the pants made is a notorious sweatshop, her response is 'perfect' because she is having sweatpants made.

Birdie is played by Kate Hudson.

Answer: Duke Cody

Duke's tattoos cover a large part of his chest, back and arms and are easily visible in several scenes where he is either shirtless or has his shirt hanging open. Photographs of Bautista show that he is also heavily tattooed.
One of Mile's 'disruptors', Duke is building his image and on-line following, wanting to take it to the next step. He wants Miles to put him on "Alpha News" but Miles says that he is not ready. Then Duke's phone start pinging and he shows it to Miles, claiming that his numbers are exploding and that surely that surge gives him the push to be put on "Alpha News". Miles enthusiastically agrees and shortly afterwards Duke is dead.
We later find out that the pinging of his phone was because the news of Andi's death had finally been released and Duke saw Miles leaving Andi's house the night it happened.

Dave Bautista played Duke.

Answer: Cassandra (Andi) Brand

Although Andi received a puzzle box and invitation to the island, no one expected her to attend. Miles had broken up his and Andi's partnership because she would not support his latest venture (KLEAR). He had her legally locked out of the company, claiming the initial idea was his instead of hers and in the court case, all of the 'disruptors' perjured themselves, saying that the idea had been Miles'.
In a scene after everything is getting tense Claire asks if they are even going to talk about the elephant in the room. Andi asks if she is the elephant and Claire says, 'Yeah, you're the elephant.' She goes on to explain that she cannot understand why Andi is there when everyone in the room took her life away from her.

In one of two roles in the movie, Janelle Monae played Andi. The second role was as Andi's twin sister Helen, who was the one really on the island.

Answer: Claire Debella

Claire is another one of 'the disruptors' beholden to Miles. After an unsuccessful run in politics, Miles provided her with financial backing, allowing her to be elected as Governor of Connecticut. At the beginning of the movie we see her being interviewed at home, because of Covid.
Claire is skeptical about the safety of Miles' invention KLEAR, but feels she has to support his bid to have it used on a manned space flight, for fear of losing his support.

Kathryn Hahn plays Claire.

Answer: Lionel Toussaint

As the scientist, Lionel is the one who is expected to figure out the mystery of the puzzle box.
Lionel is the head scientist for Miles' company, and as such is under tremendous pressure to sign off on the safety of KLEAR, something he really doesn't want to do because of his doubts of its safety. However his career is also dependent on Miles' goodwill and he admits, at one point in the movie, that he has given it his endorsement.

Leslie Odom Jr. plays Lionel.

Answer: Peg

Peg is not one of 'the disruptors' and not technically invited to the island. We first meet her at a party that Birdie has thrown (during Covid). As Birdie's assistant, Peg is keeping a tight grip on Birdie's cell phone so she can't post something else that will get her into a lot of trouble. Comments are made about how Birdie 'didn't know it was a racist term' and some really offensive Halloween costume.
Miles wants Birdie to take responsibility for the thoughtless comment about the 'sweatshop' and sign a public admission about where the pants were made. As the main investor this would take the focus away from him. Peg begs her not to destroy herself by doing this and is even seen asking Miles not to make Birdie do it, to no avail. In exchange Miles has offered to pay Birdie out for the loss of her business.

Jessica Henwick plays Peg.

Answer: Whiskey

Whiskey is Duke's girlfriend. Early in the movie we see her, through a big glass window, 'fooling around' with Miles. Duke is watching from outside where he has been jogging but we later find out that he knew and encouraged the relationship to achieve his own ends. At one point Andi asks Whiskey why she stays with Duke and she says that she is building her own brand.
Whiskey wears a necklace that indicates she is a Taurus and when questioned about it, mentions that Miles gave it to her on her birthday, surprising her in New York. This information becomes important once Andi's death is made public, as the timing proves that he was in the States and not in Europe as he claimed.
