Russell Brand's character, Aldous Snow, originated in the 2008 comedy "Forgetting Sarah Marshall". Jonah Hill also had a role in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall", but it was an entirely different character than in "Get Him to the Greek". Kristen Bell also briefly reprised her role as Sarah Marshall in "Get Him to the Greek". Director Nicholas Stoller and producer Judd Apatow also worked on both films.

Russell Brand got his start in show business as a stand-up comedian, then as a radio/television host, and more recently began starring in films. He also dabbles in music - he has recorded many songs, including all of Aldous Snow's songs in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" and "Get Him to the Greek". Brand married singer Katy Perry in October 2010; they had met on the set of "Get Him to the Greek", though Perry's scene was cut from the final movie.

At the beginning of the movie, Aldous and his girlfriend, Jackie Q (played by Rose Byrne), were shown filming the video for the song "African Child", which was about impoverished children in African. Jackie was quoted as saying that Aldous really cared about the situation in Africa - not enough to actually go there, but enough to feel really passionate about the cause. "African Child" was called Aldous' worst song ever, with one magazine going so far as to call it "The worst thing to happen to Africa since Apartheid". Jackie Q left Aldous after his single failed, and he resumed his previous life of drinking, drugs and partying.

Daphne (played by Elizabeth Moss) was a doctor, who was currently working through her residency. When we first saw Daphne, she was crawling into bed with Aaron after her night shift, just as he was waking for the day. He asked her if she had blood on her scrubs, and she told him that she'd been in the OR when a heart exploded blood everywhere. Just before Aaron had to go out of town, she announced to him that she'd received a job offer and that the two of them would be moving. Aaron was upset and they had a fight about it, leading him to think that they'd broken up.

Answer: Sean Combs

Sean Combs (a.k.a. Diddy, a.k.a. Puff Daddy) played Sergio Roma, the big boss at Pinnacle Records. His company had been going through rough times, so Sergio gathered all of his employees to ask for new ideas as to how to drum up business. At this meeting, Aaron suggested getting Aldous Snow to put on a tenth-anniversary concert at the Greek. Sergio loved the idea, and put Aaron in charge of getting Aldous to the Greek, as well as keeping Aldous happy with whatever he wanted.

Sean Combs started his career as a rapper. He created his own record label in 1993 and became a producer. He first recorded under the name Puff Daddy in 1997, and became P. Diddy in 2001, and then just Diddy in 2005. He has been in a few other films, including "Monster's Ball" (2001) and "Carlito's Way: Rise to Power" (2005).

Answer: Meredith Vieira

Aldous appeared on "The Today Show", which was hosted by Meredith Vieira. The interview portion of his appearance didn't go very well, and the performance part almost crashed and burned too. Aldous couldn't remember the lyrics to "African Child", since Aaron had just admitted to Aldous that it was the worst song he'd ever heard. Aaron tried desperately to find a copy of the lyrics for him, but at the last minute, Aldous decided to scrap singing "African Child" and instead performed his song called "The Clap".

Meredith Vieira started out as a reporter on CBS, ending with being a co-anchor on "CBS Morning News" before moving to ABC. She then served on the panel of "The View" for several years before replacing Katie Couric on "The Today Show" in 2006. She also began hosting the syndicated version of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" in 2002.

Other celebrities who appeared as themselves in this movie include Mario Lopez, Pink and Lars Ulrich.

Answer: Smuggle heroin for him

Aldous wanted Aaron to conceal his (Aldous') stash of heroin for the duration of their flight. Aaron wanted to refuse, but he phoned his boss, Sergio, for advice. Sergio said Aaron had to do it if that's what Aldous wanted. So Aaron did it, but he about had a heart attack when Aldous, under the guise of making a joke, told the airport staff that Aaron had heroin on him.

Answer: Las Vegas

Even though Aaron really wanted to get Aldous to the Greek on time, he had encouraged him to go visit his father, so he made the stop in Las Vegas. While in Vegas, the two partied with Aldous' father, a bunch of groupies, and many other people. Colm Meaney played Aldous' dad, Jonathan Snow.

Answer: Stroke the furry wall

Aaron started panicking and Aldous' father made it worse by continually saying that Aaron was probably having a heart attack. To calm him down, Aldous took Aaron over to the far wall, which for some reason was covered in fur, and had him stroke the wall softly. Eventually, Aldous had to give Aaron a shot of adrenaline and they left the hotel.

Answer: Arm

Aldous jumped a long way into the pool below and managed to smack only his arm on the side of the concrete pool. It was a pretty bloody injury, with bits of bone sticking out of the wound, but Aldous insisted on being taken to the Greek instead of to the hospital. Sergio wanted to ply Aldous with drugs instead of treating the injury, and Aaron got angry and quit his job on the spot. Aldous put on a great show with a bandage on his arm.

Answer: Seattle

Aaron and Daphne had moved to Seattle, which was where she told him they were moving to, when they got into the big fight about her making decisions for both of them. Aaron hadn't wanted to leave L.A. because he wanted to be in the music industry, but it was revealed that he started his own label in Seattle, and Aldous was signed to Aaron's label.

In this scene, Aldous also made fun of Aaron's outfit, which included a flannel jacket, joking that he'd already picked up the Seattle way of dressing.
