Answer: Leaving a message for his ex-girlfriend Tris

At the beginning of the movie, Nick is sitting on his bed, sad. He leaves a message for his ex-girlfriend Tris saying that he's sad they broke up. In the meantime he's burning a CD for her and looking at pictures of them together. Sadly, though, Tris doesn't care about Nick at all. When it shows her at school, she's throwing a CD from Nick in the trash and saying that he's pathetic.

Nick and his band hear on the radio that the band Where's Fluffy? is having a surprise concert. No one knows where it's going to be but everyone is excited. Nick decides to go and play with the band because he wants to find the Where's Fluffy? concert afterwards. Meanwhile, at Norah's school, Norah, Tris, and their friend Caroline are talking about how they're excited too.

It's pretty obvious that Tris doesn't like music as much as Caroline and Norah do because she calls them Who's Fluffy? instead.

Nick is performing on stage when all of a sudden he sees Tris in the audience with a new boyfriend named Ryan. He's so distraught that when he gets off the stage he pushes right past Norah, who's trying to be friendly and smiles at him. Tris doesn't seem to care that Nick noticed her and keeps on dancing with her new boyfriend.

Answer: Caroline

Norah's best friend Caroline is, as usual, drunk. Every time Norah and Caroline go out to a club, Caroline always gets drunk and has to be taken home. Unfortunately, this time it's inconvenient because Norah wants to have someone to talk to at the club.

She ends up bumping into Tris, who starts making fun of her for going to the club alone. Norah quickly lies and says that she actually came with someone.

In the book, Nick asks Norah to be his girlfriend for five minutes because he spots Tris and wants to make her jealous. In the movie, though, Norah actually asks Nick to be her boyfriend for five minutes because she wants to show Tris that she actually has a date.

At first Nick doesn't seem very interested, but after they kiss, it's obvious that sparks are flying. Tris barges in and starts asking them how they know each other, but you can tell she's getting jealous.

Norah and Nick drive home together after the other members of Nick's band promise to drive Caroline home safely. They aren't really talking about much until Nick puts on a CD and they listen to all the music together. But then they start fighting because Nick keeps talking about Tris. Norah gets out of the car and is hailing a cab when Nick's bandmates call him to tell him Caroline ran out of the car and is gone.

It is revealed earlier in the movie that Caroline passed out in the back of the band's van. When she wakes up, she forgets where she is and runs out. She goes to the train station but can't get on the train because she doesn't have enough money. When the clerk gets annoyed with her, he closes the curtain and she's stuck talking to a worker.

She starts crying and says how she wishes she knew where Norah was because she wants a turkey sandwich. Then she sees that the worker has one and asks him for it.

Nick and Norah meet up with the band and they all look for Caroline. Eventually, they find her in a gay bar dressed up as a Christmas tree on stage. They decide to take her home, and Nick runs into Tris at his Yugo. She does a striptease to try to get him back, but he ends up driving away from her. Then he goes to meet Norah at a restaurant.

Answer: Norah's dad's recording studio

Nick and Norah decide to go somewhere where "none of their friends can find them". They end up driving to a recording studio, where it is revealed that Norah's dad is famous and owns the studio. Nick and Norah start kissing, but then they get a text message from Caroline saying that they found Where's Fluffy? So they hurry off to go see them play.

Nick and Norah finally find Where's Fluffy? because the band hears the address where they are playing on the radio. When they get there, they start fighting with everyone because Norah's ex-boyfriend Tal is there yelling at her and Tris is yelling at Nick.

But they leave together right before Where's Fluffy? starts performing. Nick and Norah run off and kiss on the escalator together, knowing that this is just the start of their relationship.
