The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Jeremy Irons, John Malkovich, Gérard Depardieu, Gabriel Byrne and Hugh Laurie.

A tale of romance, swordplay, intrigue and danger, "The Princess Bride" was based on a 1973 novel written by William Goldman. The poor farm boy Westley and the young lady named Buttercup fall in love, but 'happily ever after' is endangered by the sly plotting of Prince Humperdinck and Count Rugen. Westley has gone missing, feared dead by Buttercup, and Prince Humperdinck has decided to make her his bride.

A scheming Sicilian, a vengeful Spaniard and a Turkish giant complicate matters, and Westley eventually finds himself in the Pit of Despair, conversing with Count Rugen's assistant - The Albino. Starring Cary Elwes and Robin Wright, the film was directed by Rob Reiner.

Based on the fantastical world of the role-playing game "Dungeons & Dragons", the film is an action-filled battle between the mages and the commoners, the Gold Dragons and the Red Dragons, and Emperess Savina's desperate bid to save the people of Izmer, and herself, from the evil Mage Profion's plotting. With the intent of nothing more than the theft of certain magical items from the Magic School, Ridley and Snails suddenly find themselves embroiled in the conflict, and increasingly involved in, and committed to, the battle. The film also stars Jeremy Irons, Thora Birch and Robert Miano.

Set in Europe during the 12th century, "Ladyhawke" centers around the characters of Etienne of Navarre and Isabeau d'Anjou, two lovers who have run afoul of the madly jealous Bishop of Aquila. Cursed to be always together, yet always apart, by night Etienne is a wolf, and by day Isabeau is a hawk. With The Mouse's prowess at navigating the city and avoiding the guards, Etienne plans to do something to break the curse - something that may actually render the curse unbreakable. Directed by Richard Donner, the film also stars John Wood as the Bishop of Aquila and Leo McKern as Father Imperius.

In 2007's "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix", Lord Voldemort is back, but the Ministry is cracking down on anyone who dares to say so. The Order of the Phoenix, based at 12 Grimmuald Place, is working in secrecy to plan for the day Voldemort and his Death Eaters openly attack. Flouted at every turn in his attempts to convince the Ministry that something needs to be done about Voldemort, Harry and his friends form 'Dumbledore's Army' in a desperate attempt to ready themselves for whatever evil may be coming their way.

"The Three Musketeers", set in 1625 Paris, features D'Artagnan, the son of a Musketeer, who wishes to become a Musketeer himself. Arriving in Paris he learns that the Musketeers have been disbanded. Through a series of unfortunate incidents, D'Artagnan finds himself involved in duels with Athos, Arammis and Porthos, but ends up joining them in opposition of Cardinal Richelieu and his machinations.

Their exploits eventually lead them to the dungeons of the palace, where they must rescue King Louis XIII and his Queen, Anne of Austria, before Richelieu can murder them. Oliver Platt played Porthos, Chris O'Donnell played D'Artagnan, and Rebecca De Mornay played Milady De Winter (Sabine). Tim Curry first appeared as Dr. Frank N. Furter in "The Rocky Horror Show" in June, 1973, on stage in London, and portrayed him until 1975 in different venues.

He reprised his role in 1975's "The Rocky Horror Picture Show", and the film became a cult classic which is shown regularly at midnight in many theaters.

In addition to the "Rocky Horror" role, he has appeared on numerous television programs, acted in many films and done a large amount of voice work.

1991's "The Silence of the Lambs" is based on a 1988 book written by Thomas Harris. The plot follows a novice FBI agent named Clarice Starling and her psychological battle with the imprisoned serial killer, Dr. Hannibal Lecter. Hoping his insights and ego-driven superiority will help the FBI catch the serial killer known as Buffalo Bill, Starling is tasked with dealing with Lecter, and facing her own private demons as well. Time is racing by, however, for Buffalo Bill has kidnapped a senator's daughter, and is planning on skinning her corpse - and Starling needs to find the monster before his gruesome work is done.

The film stars Jodie Foster, Anthony Hopkins, Scott Glenn and Ted Devine. And, while the dry well located in Buffalo Bill's basement is not what comes to mind as a typical dungeon, Webster's defines a dungeon as 'a dark underground cell, vault or prison'.

The young woman trapped there must have certainly considered that well a dungeon.
