Devin Townsend's 'Ziltoid The Omniscient' Quiz

In the track titled 'ZTO', Ziltoid claims to have "...travelled far from across the omniverse..." and he demands our "...universe's ultimate cup of coffee...Black."

This is said in 'ZTO'. About five minutes after he says "You have five Earth minutes", a messenger arrives with his coffee, to which Ziltoid is very disappointed. Ziltoid calls the coffee fetid and proceeds to announce an attack upon Earth.

Ziltoid hails from Ziltoidia, as stated in the title of the track 'Ziltoidia Attaxx!'. Nebulowanine is another planet mentioned in the album, Squizloid is a commander in Ziltoid's army, and Earth is what Ziltoid wishes to conquer.

Answer: Captain Spectacular

Captain Spectacular is one of the few humans that escapes the 'attack', (Ziltoid plays some shredding guitar and hypnotizes human-kind into believing that he is the 'ultimate guitar hero') and vows to defeat Ziltoid on his way to the planet Nebulowanine.

They are each mentioned in different ways as well. The 4th dimension is where Ziltoid comes from, Nebulowanine is in the 5th dimension, and the great Planet Smasher is from the 6th.

Of course it doesn't end there! Ziltoid encounters N9 (as Nebulowanine becomes known) and the planet shows him the most beautiful thing he can imagine, leaving Ziltoid in a daze and feeling very vulnerable. Ziltoid leaves defeated...but then again...

His name is Herman and he apparently hates musicals. Somewhat ironic, because the entire album is done in a fashion that is similar to a musical, where characters express their feelings and thoughts through song. Regardless, Ziltoid seeks the Planet Smasher's aide when he wishes to score some wrath on a virtual planet at the arcade.

The Planet Smasher denies his request and hits Ziltoid's ship with his meaty paw, causing Ziltoid to spill his coffee!

Answer: The Omnidimensional Creator

He asks the Omnidimensional Creator about the universe and his place in it, however Ziltoid gets a little carried away, and the creator tells him to chill out.

Answer: His itchy gown

According to the liner notes, the gown that he wears for the 'presentation' is quite itchy and Ziltoid, who is notably impressed with the show, still can't see why they had to give him sunch an itchy robe.

Answer: The Greys

How the transition is made is that as 'The Greys' is fading, 'Tall Latte' begins with Townsend singing the chorus in a kind of sleepy state, and he is rudely interupted by his boss who calls him a slacker and tells him to get to work making orders such as a Grande Cappucino and a Tall Latte.
