Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "When the morning comes."

Answer: This Too Shall Pass

Although "WTF?" was the first single to release from the band's third album, "Of the Blue Colour of the Sky" and it pushed OK Go into a more experimental phase, "This Too Shall Pass" ended up being the first track from the album to hit it big online since its music video featured a complex Rube Goldberg Machine, one that took seventy takes to see through for the finished product.

It was after this song's release that the band separated from their record label, EMI, to form an independent one (Paracadute Recordings).
2. "It seems like forever since we had a good day."

Answer: The Writing's on the Wall

Reaching number ten on the Billboard US Hot Rock Songs chart and topping the US Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart, "The Writing's on the Wall" appeared online as the first single from the band's fourth full album, "Hungry Ghosts", when it released in 2014. Bringing the band back to its roots of creating single-take music videos, this one had the band exploring all manner of optical illusions in a massive warehouse space.

It would be the band's highest-charting track in America to date.
3. "Throw on your clothes, the second side of Surfer Rosa..."

Answer: Here It Goes Again

The only song from the band's "Oh No" album to crack into the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 (at number thirty-eight), "Here It Goes Again" might be considered OK Go's signature song, mostly due to its viral music video which featured the band choreographing and performing a number on moving treadmills. Turning out to be the last single to release from "Oh No", it help shaped the band's future. Providing a unique pop-rock sound, it would lead them down a path of multimedia works; all of their future singles would feature uniquely-executed video content for viral consumption.

This one ended up winning a Grammy.
4. "No one's gonna find you when you're hiding in the dark."

Answer: End Love

The success behind "End Love" was, like many others, in its music video. Filmed as one continuous eighteen hour take in Los Angeles' Echo Park, "End Love" featured the band performing and lip synching to the song, taking slowed-down and sped up moves across the three-quarter-day run and squishing them into a four-minute-long video.

It continued the band's winning streak on YouTube and the track, somewhat low-key for the band's normal fare, became a concert staple.
5. "You'll never get that taste out of your mouth."

Answer: White Knuckles

The fourth of seven singles from "Of the Blue Colour of the Sky", "White Knuckles" might be one of the more memorable because its music video contained choreography performed by the band alongside a series of rescue dogs (and one goat). True to form, the band filmed the video in continuous takes, landing on number seventy-two of one hundred twenty-four as the winning cut.

The music video was also included as a watchable 3D file on the Nintendo 3DS in America.
6. "Oh such grace, oh such beauty."

Answer: A Million Ways

Although the music video for "Here It Goes Again" would catapult OK Go into internet stardom, it was "A Million Ways" that came first, being the earliest single from their sophomore "Oh No" album in 2005. The song managed to chart in the UK, but it was the music video that made waves. Depicting the band performing a choreographed dance number in suits in lead singer Damian Kulash's backyard, the dance was imminently replicable; they performed it several times on live TV in promotion of the disc.
7. "She don't seem to mind, not much to me."

Answer: I Won't Let You Down

Reaching number seven on the Billboard US Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart and number twenty-two on the Japan Hot 100, "I Won't Let You Down" took the foursome to Asia in terms of international appeal, partly because of the band's publicized collaboration with the J-pop girl group Perfume, and partly because their music video for this track, the second single off "Hungry Ghosts", was choreographed and filmed on Honda UNI-CUBs in Chiba Prefecture.
8. "Oh it's such a drag, what a chore... oh your wounds are full of salt."

Answer: Get Over It

Charting in the UK but not the U.S., "Get Over It", the band's first single from their eponymous album release, wasn't a complete hit, at least not early on. A recurring concert track all the way into their later eras, it was a forerunner of what their consistent sound would be, especially going into the "Oh No" album.

It would, fortunately, make the cut for the band's live album, "180/365", released in 2011.
9. "Gravity's just a habit that you're pretty sure you can break."

Answer: Upside Down & Inside Out

Perhaps the most ambitious video in OK Go's catalogue, "Upside Down & Inside Out" (which acted as the third of five singles from "Hungry Ghosts") saw the band performing choreography in zero-gravity. The band recorded the entirety of the video while in parabolic flights, performed in twenty-seven second chunks but still in sequence to give continuous shots.

This meant that for the duration of their three-minute-long song, they needed to take eight sequential stomach-churning turns on the flight.

They took three times that many.
10. "Don't be so damn benign."

Answer: Don't Ask Me

One of the band's more upbeat earlier songs, "Don't Ask Me" was the second single to release off their eponymous first album, hitting the airwaves in 2003. While "Don't Ask Me" had a recurring spot on the band's setlists going forward, the song didn't manage to chart with any significance, effectively closing out promotion on said album. Nonetheless, it's a strong early offering, and one that was used in a number of TV shows.
