Answer: Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds were formed in 1983 and their album "Wild God" featured Nick Cave on vocals and piano with Warren Ellis, George Vjestica, Martyn P. Casey, Thomas Wydler and Jim Sclavunos playing other instruments. The album received rave reviews from critics and three singles were released before the album dropped: "Wild God", "Frogs" and "Long Dark Night".

Laurie Anderson was born in 1947 and "Amelia" was her eighth studio album. In the album Anderson takes on a first person perspective of Amelia Earhart during her final weeks. Some of the songs are as if she is reading from a diary while others are as if she is actively piloting a plane. Amelia Earhart tragically disappeared on July 2, 1937 while attempting to become the first female pilot to circumnavigate the Earth.

"Espresso" was a big hit for Sabrina Carpenter as it reached number three on the US Billboard Hot 100 and it reached number one in 18 countries. In the song Carpenter compares herself to espresso in that both she and the drink cause men to not be able to fall asleep.

The "Short n' Sweet" album that includes the song "Espresso" was released in August 2024 and it reached number one on the US Billboard 200 chart.

"F-1 Trillion" was the sixth studio album released by Post Malone and it features an upright Ford F-150 on the front cover. The album was a big hit and it reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 200. There were three singles that had been released before the full album dropped: "I Had Some Help", "Pour Me a Drink" and "Guy for That".

Post Malone is the stage name of Austin Richard Post who was born in Syracuse, NY in 1995. Interestingly, his stage name of Post Malone came about after the singer used a rap name generator when he was a teenager.

Interestingly, the band's original name when it was founded was Foster & the People but audience members misheard it as Foster the People and the name stuck. From its inception in Los Angeles in 2009 through its first four studio albums, Mark Foster has been the band's lead singer.

The song "Pumped Up Kicks" peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2010. The band's 2024 album "Paradise State of Mind" has a 1970s disco vibe and some songs have lyrics about living through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Billy Corgan formed the band the Smashing Pumpkins in 1988 in Chicago, IL. Throughout the band's first 13 studio albums, Corgan functioned as the lead singer, songwriter and guitarist. The band's third album, "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness" (1995), was a huge success with hit songs like "Bullet with Butterfly Wings", "1979" and "Tonight, Tonight". Released in August 2024 by the Smashing Pumpkins, "Aghori Mhori Mei" had an album cover reminiscent of Pink Floyd's "The Dark Side of the Moon" and it featured the singles "Sighommi" and "Formosa/Our Lady of Sorrows".

Vanessa Williams was born in New York City in 1963 and she was crowned Miss America in 1984. Williams released her first studio album "The Right Stuff" in 1988. "Survivor" was the ninth studio album released by Vanessa Williams and its lead single was "Legs (Keep Dancing)".

Awolnation was formed in Los Angeles in 2009. The band's name was derived from the nickname of the lead singer Aaron Bruno whose friends called him AWOL since he would leave without saying goodbye. AWOL is a military term meaning absent without leave. Awolnation's first hit song was "Sail" (2010) which peaked at number 17 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The band's 2024 album "The Phantom Five" includes the singles "Panoramic View", "Jump Sit Stand March" and "I Am Happy".

Anton Zaslavski was born in Saratov, USSR in 1989. He began his music career as a producer and DJ and he adopted his stage name Zedd in the 2000s. Featuring Foxes on lead vocals, Zedd's 2012 song "Clarity" won the Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording and it peaked at number eight on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
