1. Daniel Craig

In addition to his spectacular acting skills, Daniel Craig - known for playing superspy James Bond - is also known to be an avid gamer. Reportedly, some of his favourites include "Guitar Hero," "Grand Theft Auto" and "Halo."
In an interview excerpt from MI6-hq.com, Craig was quoted as saying, "I play games. Hands up. I'm quite into ones that have a big, fat storyline. Those ultra-violent ones I can play for half an hour then I feel dirty. "Vice City" for example I think, oh yes, alright, I've stolen 18 cars. That's enough now."
2. Michael Phelps

The Olympic medalist (23 gold medals!) is not only an amazing athlete, he also thoroughly enjoys playing video games of all kinds. He even took his love of gaming to new levels by partnering with publisher 505 Games and developer Blitz Games to create the swimming video game, "Michael Phelps: Push the Limit," for which Phelps provided voice and motion capture material.
In an interview with CNN, Phelps noted his favourite games as being mostly sports games like "FIFA," "Tiger Woods," "Madden", and "NCAA Football," but also a little bit of "Halo," "Call of Duty", and a pure addiction to "Words with Friends."
3. Drake

Canadian rapper and singer Drake revealed his love for playing the cross-platform game "Fortnite" to his fans in 2018 when he publicly dueled the famous online gamer Ninja in a series of games on Twitch. Drake held his own against the master gamer, and also let it be known that he often played "Fortnite" while in the recording studio between sessions.
4. Céline Dion

Canadian Céline Dion is also known as the 'Queen of Power Ballads,' and was launched into the international spotlight when she won Eurovision Song Contest in 1988. Perhaps even more famously, she flaunted her pipes with the theme song "My Heart Will Go On" from 1997's epic movie "Titanic." Her career and popularity have only continued since then.
Céline Dion's passions also include golf, and "Golf for Women" magazine editor Susan Reed has been quoted as saying, "Céline Dion is an avid golfer and plays all the time. She lives on a golf course in Vegas, belongs to one in Florida and even owns a golf course in Canada."
She purchased that golf course - Le Mirage - in 1997, and sold it in 2020, while still remaining a partner in the property.
5. Donald Trump

Not only is this business magnate and 45th President of the United States known for being an avid golfer, he began buying and building golf courses in 1999. Even in a 2024 election debate between Trump and Biden, the two candidates argued over who was a better golfer.
Golf legend Jack Niklaus was quoted as saying that Trump, "loves the game of golf more than he loves money," and given Trump's life of wealth and power, that is saying something.
6. Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake made a name for himself as part of NSYNC in the mid-1990s, but his fame only grew after he branched out on his own. In addition to a successful solo career, Justin also found success as an actor.
Justin is also a bit of a golf fanatic, and not only enjoys playing as often as he can, he has also included golf in a number of business ventures. He purchased and redeveloped a golf course in his Tennessee home town, started a golf-themed clothing line, and even opened a sports bar jointly with Tiger Woods.
7. Tobey Maguire

Tobey Maguire may have wowed the world with his athletic portrayal as Spider-Man in the movies, but his real passion is all about poker. Even the film "Molly's Game" about the high stakes poker world was based on Tobey Maguire's organizing those games with 'business' partner Houston Curtis.
According to the memoir written by Curtis about that underground poker game, Maguire was a ruthless and skilled player.
8. Jennifer Tilly

American-Canadian actress Jennifer Tilly is such an avid poker player that she has legitimately achieved professional status. In 2005, she won her first World Series of Poker bracelet, and has participated in (and won) many tournaments since then.
Incidentally, Tilly also appears in the "World Series of Poker Tournament of Champions" (2007 edition) video game. After a brief 'retirement' from playing poker professionally between 2008 and 2010, Tilly returned to her favourite pastime. By the year 2020, she had earned more than $1 million during live tournaments.
9. Neymar Júnior

Brazilian Neymar Jr. is one of the world's premier soccer players of his generation, with many accomplishments to his name, including becoming the all-time top goalscorer for the Brazilian national team in 2023 (passing Pelé's record of 77 goals).
But, Neymar Jr. is also known for being an almost fanatical poker player. On "pokernews.com", Neymar Jr. is quoted, "Growing up and playing football everyday has made me a competitive person. When I'm not playing football, playing poker and competing against my teammates on the road or in home games with friends is one of my favorite things to do."
In 2015, Neymar Jr. joined "PokerStars.net" as a brand ambassador, and, in one particular online game he won Ł240,000!
10. George R.R. Martin

George R.R. Martin is the author behind the series "A Song of Ice and Fire," which is the basis for the "Game of Thrones" television series. This prolific author has been writing fantasy, science fiction and horror for over 50 years, but it is not his only passion.
In the early 1970s (during the Bobby Fischer craze), Martin supplemented his early writing income by becoming a tournament director for the Continental Chess Association. And while that was a short-lived job as his writing career took off, the love of chess remained. Martin is a life member of the United States Chess Federation, and he reached a rating high of 1905 in early 1990.
11. Stanley Kubrick

Stanley Kubrick (1928-99) was a great filmmaker, known for such incredible films as "Dr. Strangelove" (1964), "A Clockwork Orange" (1971), and "Full Metal Jacket" (1987), to name just a few. But, he was also known for his love of chess, and often featured the game in his films.
Kubrick not only enjoyed playing chess, it was also a metaphor for the way he approached aspects of his life. In one interview with Playboy Magazine, Kubrick said, "In relation to movies, chess is more useful for the prevention of errors than in the inspiration of ideas. The ideas come up spontaneously, and the discipline which is needed to evaluate them and put them into practice is tremendous work."
12. Peter Thiel

Peter Thiel is a billionaire entrepreneur and venture capitalist who founded PayPal, Palantir Technologies, and Founders Fund. And while he has done quite well for himself, his passion for chess began before he achieved his wealth.
Thiel began playing chess at the age of six, and was once one of the top junior players in the United States. He managed to achieve an ELO rating above 2200, earning the title of Life Master.
