Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the "anointed" are a chosen group of 144,000 who will go to heaven and be co-rulers with Christ. It is believed that membership of this chosen group began during the time of Jesus and has continued to be selected into the 21st Century.
2. Consider that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are One

Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in a Trinity. They do believe that God is named Jehovah after Psalm 83:18 in the King James Version. Jesus is the Son of God and the Holy Spirit is a separate entity God uses.
3. Will not accept a blood transfusion

Jehovah's Witnesses cite scriptures like Genesis 9:4; Leviticus 17:10; and Acts 15:28,29 as an admonishment from God to "abstain from blood". They will not eat items like blood sausage nor accept a blood transfusion even under life and death surgeries.

Jehovah's Witnesses do not celebrate or accept gifts on their birthdays. Birthday feasts were linked to pagan festivals and the only two birthday celebrations in the Bible ended tragically. 5. Were named Jehovah's Witnesses in the 19th Century

Charles Taze Russell established a Bible study group called the International Bible Students Association in the early 1870s in Pennsylvania. In the early 1880s, Russell established the Zion's Watch Tower Tract Society. But it wasn't until 1931 that the second president of the Water Tower Society, Joseph Franklin Rutherford, established the official name of Jehovah's Witnesses.
6. Consider that Jesus is Savior and the Son of God

Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Jehovah sent his only son, Jesus, to Earth as a perfect human, and allowed Jesus to perform the ultimate sacrifice and give up his human form by dying as a ransom sacrifice for all humans. The only major celebration that Jehovah's Witnesses celebrate annually is the Memorial of Jesus Christ's death. This typically occurs after sunset around the end of March or early April around the time of the Jewish Passover festival. The Memorial is held at their Kingdom Halls.
