Answer: Edinburgh

Heart of Midlothian F.C. were founded in 1874 in Scotland's capital city, Edinburgh. Edinburgh was part of the county of Midlothian at that time, and the club took their name from a mosaic in the Royal Mile which marked the entrance to the city's tolbooth.

Hearts have worn maroon shirts since 1877, usually accompanied by white shorts. There was an urban legend that they adopted this colour after their original shirts of red, white and blue stripes "ran" in the wash, but whether there is any truth to this or not is lost in the mists of time.

In the early 1990s, when clubs throughout Britain were being forced to convert their stadiums into all-seaters, the club made plans to relocate to Hermiston on the city outskirts, but these plans fell through and the club went about redeveloping Tynecastle. Th redevelopment was completed in September 2017 with an all-seated capacity of 19,852.
