Answer: 1886

The club was founded in October 1886, by a group of workers in a munition workshop. The first name of the club was Dial Square FC.

Answer: Copenhagen XI

This was a First Round match in the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup. Arsenal won 7-1. Their opponents that night were also known as Staevnet (they were a Danish representative team chosen from 11 member clubs). Seven years later, Arsenal won their first European competition: the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 1970.

Answer: Sol Campbell

Sol Campbell joined Arsenal from their arch-rival Tottenham Hotspur in 2001. Later on, he won the Premier League title with Arsenal twice. One of his famous quotes is "I always dreamed of winning the league at White Hart Lane. So I left and joined Arsenal."

Keyser joined Arsenal from Ajax in 1930 and was nicknamed "The Flying Dutchman". Bergkamp, Overmars and van Persie are all famous former Arsenal players from the Netherlands, but they joined the club many decades later.

Answer: He was afraid of flying

Bergkamp was afraid of flying and he infamously got the nickname the "Non-flying Dutchman". His fear from planes comes from a devastating crash in 1989, killing 15 Dutch players and a total of 176 people near Surinam. He lost friends and teammates in the plane crash. He played for Arsenal from 1995 to 2006.

Surprisingly, the first match ever screened on tv was Arsenal vs Arsenal Reserves on 17th September 1937. The match was a friendly specially arranged for the BBC. Arsenal went on to win the League title in season 1937-38 (it was their 5th League title).

Ten years earlier, on 22nd January 1927, Arsenal featured in the first match broadcast live on radio. The match against Sheffield United was played at Highbury and finished in a 1-1 draw.

Answer: Preston North End

Arsene Wenger won the League title with Arsenal without a single loss in 2003-04. This run continued into the following season and stopped at 49 matches unbeaten. The only other English team that has completed a full season without a loss, in the top tier, was William Sudell's Preston North End in season 1888-89 (the first-ever season of The Football League).
