Answer: Kimi Räikkönen

Nicknamed "The Iceman" because of his monotonous voice and his lack of showing emotion, Kimi was one of the most entertaining drivers in Formula 1. He won the title once in 2007 with Ferrari. At the end of the 2009 season he retired from Formula 1. In 2010 he was a rally driver and 2011 he joined the Toyota Team Kyle Busch Motorsports to try his hand at NASCAR.

In 2012 he returned to Formula 1 as a driver for Lotus. Kimi returned to Ferrari in 2014 to the replace the departing Felipe Massa.

Michael won the title in 1994 and 1995 with Benetton. He won the title 5 times consecutively with Ferrari 2000-01-02-03-04. He retired from Formula 1 as racer at the end of the 2006 season. He returned to Forumua 1 in 2010 driving for Mercedes but again retired, at the end of 2012 season. On 29th December 2013 Michael sustain sever head injuries in a skiing accident in France which resulted in neurosurgery and left him in a coma for several months.

Ayrton won the title in 1988, 1990 and 1991, all with McLaren. He is widely regarded as one of the best Formula 1 drivers of all time. He was signed with Williams-Renault for the 1994 Formula 1 season. During the weekend of the San Marino Grand Prix Reubens Barichello suffered severe injuries during free practice and on the Saturday during qualifying Roland Ratzenberger was involved in fatal accident.

As a result of the accidents of the weekend Ayrton was concerned with the safety of drivers in Formula 1 and spent the morning of 1st May 1994 discussing the re-establishment of the Grand Prix Driver's Association in order to improve safety in Formula 1. Senna was in the lead when he failed to take a turn on lap 7 and crashed into the concrete wall (it was later discovered that his steering column failed).

He sustained severe injuries and passed away later that day. A three-day mourning period was declared in his home country of Brazil and he received a state funeral.

Niki Lauda won the title in 1975, 1977 and 1984. During the 1976 German Grand Prix, while chasing James Hunt, Niki's car veered of the track hit the embankment and burst into flames. He was pulled from the car by fellow drivers but not before he suffered severe burns to his head.

He returned to racing 6 weeks later. A week before the German Grand Prix Niki urged his fellow drivers to boycott the Grand Prix due to the insufficient safety arrangements. The drivers took a vote and Niki was outvoted by one vote and took part in the Grand Prix which almost proved fatal for him.

Answer: James Hunt

James Hunt was a legendary Formula 1 driver known for his unconventional behaviour and his rivalry with Niki Lauda. From 1973 to 1975 he was a driver for Hesketh and in 1976 he moved to McLaren securing the Championship title in the same year. The 1976 season and Hunt and Lauda's rivalry is the subject of the 2013 Ron Howard film "Rush". Hunt retired at the end of the 1979 season.

He died in 1993 at the age of 45 from a heart attack.

Fernando Alonso is a Spanish racing driver who was born in 1981. He won his first championship in 2005 while driving for Renault and again in 2006. In 2007 he moved to McLaren, but left the team at the end of the same year, reportedly as a result of the bad relationship between him and his teammate Lewis Hamilton.

In 2008 he returned to Renault and in 2010 he was signed with Ferrari. He won the opening Grand Prix in 2010, making him the fifth driver to win the race on their debut with Ferrari.

Jochen Rindt was an Austrian National who was very successful in Formula 2. He joined Formula 1 in 1964 but, although an extremely talented driver, it is often said that he never had a car that suited him. During a practice run at the Italian Grand Prix in 1970 while driving for Lotus he suffered a fatal crash. Having won 5 of the 10 races that year he was in the lead for the Championship. Jacky Ickx was deprived of the points needed to win the Championship and the World Championship was awarded to Rindt, making him the only driver to be awarded the title posthumously.

Jody Schekter was born in East London, South Africa on 29th January 1950. He moved to Britain in 1970 and in 1972 made his Formula 1 debut with McLaren. At the end of 1978 he left Wolf Racing to join Ferrari and was teamed with Gilles Villeneuve and went on to win the Championship in 1979, giving Ferrari its last championship win for 21 years, until 2000.

Hill won the Championship title twice. He also won Championship titles in both Le Mans and Indy 500. Along with Jochen Rindt he made a cameo appearance in the movie "Grand Prix" (1966). He was killed in a plane crash in November 1975. He son Damon Hill won the Formula 1 World Champion Title in 1996.
