Having leafed through the journal created by Daniel, Eloise begins to suspect that Daniel's allegations, are, in fact, the truth. Charles submits that they are part of the DHARMA Initiative. She answers Charles, by not answering his question directly. She tells Charles, "These people aren't from the DHARMA Initiative, Charles."

John arrives bearing a gift of what appears to be freshly killed boar. Richard seems happy to a degree, to see John, although apparently perplexed. Richard wants to know where John has been for the past three years. John says, that he will fill Richard in on the details along the way to their destination. Even so, Richard declares that there is something inherently different about John.

He's a kind of.. an adviser. And he has had that job for a very, very long time," alluding to Richard's never-aging features, and consequent seeming immortality. I remember meeting them very clearly, because... I watched them all die."

I should've listened to you when you wanted to get on this sub three years ago." Before Sawyer gets inside, he takes a long look at the Island, and bids, "Good riddance."
