Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:

"Eggheads" is a difficult daytime quiz show that was first transmitted on BBC One in 2003 before finding a long-term home (2005 - 2020) on BBC Two. In 2021, the host Jeremy Vine and the team of high-quality quizzers - Eggheads - made the move to the less popular station, Channel 5, after nearly twenty years on the BBC. As per the show's introduction, "a team of five quiz challengers pit their wits against possibly the greatest quiz team in Britain. You might recognise them as they've won some of the country's toughest quiz shows. They are the Eggheads". The team of challengers typically know each other and come prepared with a game plan as to which of the nine quiz categories each contestant would like to be tested on. The categories are pseudo-randomly chosen by the computer (Film & Television, Sports and Music appear with greater frequency than Politics, for example) and the chosen contestant will then select which of the Eggheads they wish to compete against. A number of FunTrivia regulars have been on the show to take on the mighty Eggheads!

When the show introduces the Eggheads as "possibly the greatest quiz team in Britain", they really do mean it with the team boasting no less than three World Quiz Champions amongst their number including Kevin Ashman, Pat Gibson (winner of £1,000,000 on "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?") and Olav Bjortomt (a question setter for BBC's "University Challenge"). Additionally, the team has benefitted over the years from the shared knowledge and experience of Judith Keppel (first British £1,000,000 winner on "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?"), Chris Hughes (winner of "Brain of Britain"), Barry Simmons (another "Brain of Britain" winner) and Daphne Fowler ("Brain of Britain" and double "Fifteen to One" champ). Whilst not being quite so decorated, the Eggheads also featured the talents of CJ de Mooi ("Fifteen to One" winner), Lisa Thiel, Steve Cooke, Beth Webster, and the late - and missed - Dave "Tremendous Knowledge" Rainford.

"The Chase" premiered on the British television station ITV in 2009 and developed into one of the channel's most successful daytime / early evening quiz shows. The format is based on a team of four unrelated contestants taking on a Chaser (amongst the best quizzers in the UK and Ireland) in order to win a cash prize by defeating the resident expert in an exhilarating "final chase". The prize fund typically reaches £10,000 to £30,000 but if players are bold enough, six-figure sums are available for the taking. The chasers have a persona and nickname - Mark "The Beast" Labbett, Shaun "The Dark Destroyer" Wallace, Anne "The Governess" Hegerty, Paul "The Sinnerman" Sinha, Jenny "The Vixen" Ryan and Darragh "The Menace" Ennis - and each have their own unique relationship with the long-term host of the show, Bradley Walsh.

"The Chase" has been exported around the globe with versions made for audiences in the United States, Australia, Russia, Germany, and others. Various spin-off shows have also aired in the UK including "Beat the Chasers" and "The Chase: Celebrity Special".
