Answer: She found out that he was having an affair with Christine Hewitt.

Elizabeth Power who played Christine Hewitt was once married to Michael Aspel of "This is Your Life" fame.
2. Which is the longest running soap opera in England?

Answer: Coronation Street

In 2001 it celebrated its 40th Anniversay. The longest-serving original cast member is William Roach, who appeared in the first episode.
3. Who wrote "Only Fools and Horses"?

Answer: John Sullivan

John Sullivan also sang the theme tune.

My favourite character is Trigger, played by Roger Lloyd-Pack, who said the immortal line "If it is a boy, they are going to call him Rodney, after Dave!"
4. What was "Emmerdale" originally called?

Answer: Emmerdale Farm

The producers changed its name to "Emmerdale" in 1989 to try and make the programme more popular with younger viewers.
5. Who was the first man to appear on Channel 4?

Answer: Richard Whiteley

Richard Whiteley was the first man on the first show "Countdown" on the new channel Channel 4 which was launched on the 2nd November 1982.

Answer: A Fine Romance

Sadly Michael Williams lost his fight against lung cancer in January 2001. He had been married to Dame Judi Dench for thirty years with one child, a daughter known as Finty.

Answer: Richard O'Sullivan

It seemed in the late 70s and early 80s that Richard O'Sullivan was never off the telly. He had a stroke in 2003 and went to live in a retirement home.
8. Who was the first host of "Top of the Pops"?

Answer: Jimmy Savile

The first show was aired in 1964 and it ran for 42 years!
9. What was unusual about the way Adam serenaded Rachel in the pilot of "Cold Feet"?

Answer: He was naked with a rose coming out of his bum.

Helen Baxendale went on to play Emily one of Ross' wives in "Friends".
10. Which of the actors who appeared in the first episode of "Casualty" remained in the cast the longest?

Answer: Derek Thompson

Derek Thompson played Charlie Fairhead in the first episode in 1986, and as of 2015 still appears.
