Kreese was impressed with Johnny for implementing a tough training that he did not expect.

Demetri complained to Eli about what Kreese did, but Eli showed no sympathy for him and told him to man up.

He had enough of the bullying and joined Miyagi-do.

Demetri found himself surrounded by Eli and a few other Cobra Kai members. They forced him to take down his Yelp review of Cobra Kai. When Demetri refused, Eli attacked him. Demetri ran away but was soon cornered by them. Robby and Sam came to defend him and beat up the Cobra Kais.

After the fight at the mall, Eli's girlfriend Moon decided to split from him due to his violent behaviour. Eli was instigated by Kreese to destroy Daniel's dojo. Eli led some Cobra Kai gangs to vandalize Miyagi-do.

The following day, Daniel was shocked to find his dojo destroyed, his former master's Medal of Honor stolen, and his '48 Ford Super De Luxe vandalized. Thinking that Johnny was responsible for the vandalization, he confronted Johnny, resulting in some of the students leaving Cobra Kai.

At the LaRusso house, he was sad to see to Robby and Sam starting a new romance. He requested Robby to return the medal to Daniel and said he was sorry to Sam before leaving.

He got Miguel to help set up a dating app. However, he failed to find a suitable partner after many dates, he decided to reconnect to his ex-Ali ("Karate Kid" 1984). Meanwhile, Eli was angry over his ex-girlfriend Moon's new relationship with a girl named Piper. At the same time, he also increased his feud with Demetri. However, the cops arrived before the brawl started and everyone at the party fled the scene.

After returning to the school on the first day, Tory grabbed the school PA system and made fun of Sam, announcing that Sam kissed Miguel at the party. This started a brawl between both camps. Although Sam was still feeling inferior to Tory, she managed to get an upper hand on her.

Meanwhile, Miguel showed mercy to Robby even though he was winning the fight. While he was not aware, Robby kicked him causing him to fall off the balcony, which accidentally paralyzed him.
