The fund for car wash raised by Sam and Miyagi-do students were stolen by Eli and some Cobra Kai members, who showed up for the event. In the meantime, Johnny reluctantly approached his stepfather Sid to ask for money but was rebuffed by Sid. He then resorted to stealing one of Sid's valuable statues.

After Daniel was rejected by Dayona due to the school brawl, he decided to visit Miyagi's former hometown in Okinawa. While he was visiting Tomi Village which was turned into a mall, he was re-united with Kumiko, his former love interest.

Kumiko told him that Yuna could help him to regain the Dayona dealership. Daniel met Yuna and realized she was the little girl he saved from a typhoon 33 years ago. To Daniel's surprise, Yuna told him that she was the Senior Vice President of Sales in Dayona. She offered Daniel to keep the dealership's relationship with Dayona.

Under his uncle tutelage, Chozen matured and became a much better person from an angry young man he used to be. He learned to respect Mr. Miyagi as a man of great honor, whom he wanted to emulate.

Daniel reconciled with Chozen and they had a sparring session. During the session, Chozen used the pressure point technique on Daniel which temporarily crippled him during the fight. Chozen revealed to Daniel that karate is more than just self-defence. This technique was never taught to him by his former master. Chozen gave Daniel a martial arts scroll as a parting gift.

Chris was harassed by the Cobra Kai students at his job, Golf N Stuff. Sam led a few Miyagi-do members to his aid and attacked Eli's gang at the amusement park. However, during the attack, they were ambushed by Tory. During the brawl, Eli broke Demetri's arm. Sam was traumatized by the event as she still was fearful of Tory.

After Miguel returned to school, he found out his Golf N' Stuff brawl and decided to cut ties with Cobra Kai members. Johnny then took his most loyal students and established the new dojo which he named "Eagle Fang".

As Johnny was unable to secure a location for his dojo, he held training sessions in a public park, and would later move his training to the Miyagi-do dojo. When things between him and Daniel became untenable, he moved his training to an abandoned metal works factory.

The Cobra Kai students were initially unsure of Robby, as they knew he was responsible for Miguel's injury during the school brawl incident. They eventually warmed up to him after he stole a snake at the local zoo as a present for Kreese.

While Daniel and Amanda were attending a Christmas party together with Johnny and Ali, Tory led the Cobra Kai gang to LaRusso house. During the brawl, Miguel overcame his limitations to knock out Kyler. Eli made up with his good friend, Demetri, and turned against Cobra Kai. Sam no longer fearful of Tory gained an upper hand on her.
