Dimitri's Return: 2000-2001 Trivia Quiz

Dimitri supposedly committed suicide back in September 1999 but was shown to be alive when he was seen in a wheelchair at Bryn Wyd. Bryn Wyd masqueraded as a psychiatric hospital but was actually the headquarters of a ruthless terrorist organization. Bryn Wyd was located in the eastern part of Wales and was near the city of Bristol.

Dimitri was surprised to see that Alexandra's "mother", Charlotte Devane, headed the terrorist organization which abducted him. Charlotte would late hold Dimitri captive at her cottage in Bristol. In her final scenes, Charlotte revealed to Alexandra that she was not her mother.

Charlotte told her men to drop Dimitri out of a plane since she felt he was no longer helpful to her. Dimitri's hands were bound on the plane but he freed himself and managed to get out of the plane before it crashed. He turned up on the beach in Pine Valley.

Hayley and Mateo had a wonderful wedding and two of the guests were Edmund and Alexandra. Dimitri witnessed them bonding after Hayley and Mateo officially tied the knot. He felt bad since he noticed how much in love Edmund and Alexandra were at this time.

Edmund visited Dimitri's "grave" at Wildwind and was surprised to see Dimitri alive. The two embraced and Dimitri filled Edmund in about Charlotte's organization. Edmund was surprised to hear this news since he had just met Charlotte.

David was shocked to see Dimitri alive and well in his office. Dimitri revealed that he was not feeling well. David agreed to treat him in secret since Dimitri revealed he did not want Alexandra to know that he was alive. He also told David to tell Edmund that he went off to die.

At this time, Dixie worked as an assistant for The Andrassy Foundation, which David ran alongside Alexandra. She was surprised when she entered David's office and saw Dimitri. She reluctantly agreed to not reveal that Dimitri was alive.

David came up with an idea to tell Alexandra that he was treating someone from Stanford that he got via referral. He arranged it to look this way and he told her about the patient. He told Alexandra that the case was sent to them as a blind study. Alexandra was surprised that this patient had the same illness which Dimitri suffered from in 1999. Alexandra did not know that the patient was actually Dimitri.

Dixie was tired of keeping the secret that Dimitri was alive so she told Alexandra to go to the hunting lodge. Alexandra went there and was surprised to see Dimitri very much alive. The two embraced and made love.

A man encountered Alexandra at Ryan's yacht party and then Alexandra disappeared. (This was done to accommodate actress Finola Hughes going on maternity leave.) Dimitri feared that Edmund was behind her disappearance, so he set up Edmund to have him committed to Oakhaven. Brooke was livid at what he did so she yelled at him and encouraged him to have Edmund released. Dimitri obliged and Edmund was discharged from Oakhaven.

Dimitri and Edmund managed to track Alexandra down to Canada in March 2001. When they went there, they were surprised to see that Alexandra was with her identical twin sister: Anna Devane. Anna had come back from the dead since she was presumed dead after a boat explosion which occurred in 1992. (This occurred on "General Hospital" since Anna Devane appeared on "General Hospital" from 1985 to 1992.)
