Aidan was first spotted in the park and had a dispute with David Hayward. He ended up attacking him and put him in a chokehold. Anna came to the scene and told Aidan to release David. Aidan told Anna he believed she was his aunt. It turns out that Aidan was right!

Maria, while she was an amnesiac, befriended Aidan and helped him avoid a person who was after him so she hid him out in the stables at Wildwind. When Julia returned for a visit to reunite with her, Maria was afraid she would spot Aidan. Aidan did not encounter Julia at this time. Aidan eventually left his hiding spot so he could confront the person who was after him.

Julian Sinclair was actually the one who murdered Fiona but he framed Aidan for the crime. There was a warrant for his arrest back in England. Julian came to Pine Valley and impersonated an officer from Scotland Yard when he came to Wildwind looking for Aidan. He was assisted by a woman named Morgan.

Aidan and Maria realized that Julian was in Pine Valley so they hightailed it to The Bahamas with Julian and Morgan on their tail. Kingman, Aidan's close friend, assisted them in The Bahamas but he wound up being caught by both Julian and Morgan. Julian shot Kingman dead.

At the final showdown between Julian and Aidan, Julian shot and killed Morgan whereas Aidan shot and killed Julian while he was holding Maria hostage. Maria wound up shot as well but she survived.

Aidan found out that Fred Lomax was the one that "married" Kendall and "Michael" in Las Vegas (the marriage was invalid since Boyd Larraby posed as Michael). He was called to testify for the prosecution at Kendall's trial for killing Michael Cambias but Aidan hid Fred so he would not testify against Kendall and hurt her chances of winning the case. Kendall was acquitted of killing Michael. Bianca then confessed to killing Michael Cambias and the DA, Alan Singer, wanted to file charges against her.

The judge told Singer that Bianca killed Michael in self defense and he had no case. No charges were brought against Bianca.

Archdeacon temporarily filled in for Aiden Turner while Turner dealt with a family emergency back in his home country of England. Bartlett portrayed Julian Sinclair and Kinworthy was the first actor to play Josh Madden. Turner returned to work a couple of months later and his first scenes back aired in August of 2004 alongside Natalia Cigliutti, who played Anita.
