When John puts on the gauntlet, he asks how he makes it work. D'Argo tells him it just does, to which John replies, "Right...willpower... like the Green Lantern's ring."

OK, I completely made "zephrons" up. Rygel was dethroned by his cousin Bishan, but once ruled over 600 billion subjects. His ultimate goal is to one day return and regain his throne, even at the expense of the rest of his shipmates on Moya.

John is forced to put the gauntlet on at the end of the episode in order to cover a lot of ground to catch up with Bekhesh and Rygel.
