"The 1619 Project" premiered on Hulu as a six-part docuseries. It is based on an anthology of the same name that was published in the "New York Times" magazine in 2019. The 2019 date is significant as it marked the 400 year anniversary that enslaved Africans first came to the American continents.

In the series it is asserted that the national origin story of the United States began in 1619 when the first ships transporting slaves arrived.

"Kaleidoscope" was released on Netflix and it had a unique eight episode format that could be watched in any order. In the show Leo Pap (played by Giancarlo Esposito) and his crew try to rob the vault of a security firm called SLS. Of course nothing goes as planned and they have to improvise.

"The Last of Us" was released on HBO and it is based on an acclaimed video game of the same name released in 2013. The main characters of Joel and Ellie are played by Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey. In the show Joel and Ellie travel out west to reconnect Joel with one of his family members and to try and help with the effort to develop a vaccine.

The first season of "Shrinking" starred Jason Segal as Jimmy Laird whose wife has recently died in a car accident. Jimmy has started dealing with his grief by telling people exactly how he feels. Rowan encounters an entity known as the Lasher that has been bound to the Mayfair Witches for hundreds of years.
