In a tender scene, Marje Luper came to Pine Valley to talk with Zarf. She was initially disappointed when Zarf stated he planned on undergoing surgery to become Zoe. However, she soon grew to support her son in his decision.

However, her producer planted a guest in the audience who asked Erica a derogatory question about Zarf's plan to transition into becoming a woman.
