Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:
In the story mode of 'Mortal Kombat: Deception', Shujinko is asked to collect the six Kamidogu, magical artefacts that contain a realm's essence, by Damashi, a talking fireball who is actually the essence of Onaga. To do this, he has to travel to each realm. When he goes to Chaosrealm, he helps Havik fight a group of Seidan Guards, who are trying to control the local water stores. After fighting Baraka and the Tarkatan horde in Outworld, he goes to Orderrealm, where he meets Hotaru and teams up with the Seidan Guard to help put down a rebellion.
Once Shujinko has all six Kamidogu - despite Scorpion trying to stop him - Onaga is able to return to life, using Reptile's body as a vessel. The Orderrealm Kamidogu is a blue square, while the Chaosrealm one looks like an orange spiral. In the rebooted timeline, the Kamidogu are daggers enchanted with blood magic.
Neither Orderrealm nor Chaosrealm feature much in the rebooted 'Mortal Kombat' timeline. Outside 'Deception', Orderrealm is mentioned in Johnny Cage's ending in 'Mortal Kombat X', when he goes there to learn how to better control his powers, and the Joker's ending in 'Mortal Kombat 11', when he assembles a squad of villains (which includes Havik) to take over the place and cause chaos.
Darrius and Dairou's storyline bears little relevance to the 'Mortal Kombat' plot as a whole. Darrius wants to recruit new resistance fighters, so he pays an assassin to kill Dairou's family, hoping that this would make Dairou angry enough to avenge his family's deaths and break the law. After Dairou breaks out during a riot started by the resistance, Darrius recruits him and pays him to kill Hotaru and steal the constitution.
Hotaru, meanwhile, has teamed up with Baraka and his army of Tarkatan warriors to aid Onaga in conquering the realms, despite having previously fought the Tarkatans when they invaded the Orderrealm city of Lei Chen. Sub-Zero attracts Hotaru's attention when he kills a pack of Tarkatans in the Living Forest in Outworld, and when Sub-Zero teams up with Kenshi - who he finds injured in Outworld - to return to Earthrealm, Hotaru pursues them. He attacks Sub-Zero, but Kenshi fights him off.
In the original timeline, Havik heals Kabal and teams up with him and his new recruits, Kira and Kobra, and travels to Outworld in the hope of starting a war between Onaga and the Forces of Light. His ultimate plan is to steal Onaga's heart and use it to bring Shao Kahn back from the dead. In the 'Mortal Kombat X' timeline, Havik corrupts the blood magic in the Kamidogu, enabling him to possess anyone who is cut by them. He manipulates Reiko by claiming the Kamidogu will turn him into a blood god, but is actually using him as a vessel to summon the seventh Kamidogu, Shinnok's amulet, which is hidden in Reiko's skull. He also has a cameo in Noob Saibot's ending in 'Mortal Kombat 9'.
